Ymbtrymman (Founded as Svolvaer, the Land of the Devil) is a small town in eastern Amusa known for its annual celebration of "If Day", a holiday where the town reenacts its ancient plans on what to do during a dragon attack.
The town was renamed after one of its earliest wardens, Ymbtry.
History
At long last you have arrived at Svolvaer. It has taken weeks but the settlement unmistakably stinks of powerful magic. The local inhabitants call the place the "Land of the Devil" and it is whispered that the soil is tainted by the powerful rites performed here. The locals live in fear and they speak in hushed whispers as you arrive, and for good reason. Everyone who has entered Svolvaer has been followed by a powerful evil, hoping to have it banished by Ymbtry the Imprisoner
If Day
If Day began as a serious training of defense in the late BR era, but as dragon attacks stopped, the occasion became more festive, with dinners, parties, and the reenactments instead of actual training.
