Moradin is is one of the Six Creator Gods of Quelmar and was the creator of the Dwarves. He is the god of forging and craftsman.

Description

Moradin typically appears as a dwarf with a long beard armed with craftsman's tools. His right hand is made of mithril, crafted to replace the hand he lost.

History

With the other creator gods, Moradin came to Quelmar and helped to craft its world. His greatest creation was the race of dwarves, a strong and sturdy people.

During the early days of the realm, Moradin had befriended Fenris Wolf, who was a personification of the inevitable end of Quelmar. Fearing what it might do to their creation though, the Creator Gods banded together to seal it away. Moradin crafted heavy iron chains and with them bounded Fenris Wolf to the Barrens of Doom and Despair, losing his right hand in the process.

In 894 PR Fenris Wolf would be freed and seek retribution against the Dwarf Father, invading the god's holy realm and attacking him. It is unknown if Moradin was slain or just grievously injured, but after that day 96% of Moradin's cleric lost their divine powers and ability to commune with him. Some of his most fervent worshipers believe Moradin hides in his great forge, rebuilding his body, and will one day return.
