Lightmetal is a special type of metal generated when a Starchild touches a piece of metal with their hand long enough.

The light frequencies of the metal are altered by the touch of Starchildren, and appear a new color as they bend the light around them. It is believed this is due to some sort of astral energy that is imbued into the metal itself.
Metal that has been turned into lightmetal retains all of the original properties of the metal, and only changes cosmetically.
