Background Bullet Points

- orphan with unknown parents, enslaved since childhood

- didn't learn any important skills from dragonborn owners and was mostly abused by them (they taught him how to play chess but mostly to mock him for not being good at it)

- started escaping captivity in teen years only to get caught again

- was also captured by thri-kreen a few times but somehow avoided getting eaten by them

- finally attained "permanent" freedom in early adult years and learned how to bond with nature to help remain free

Mission History

s008 gnash the mercenary hired party to explore weird tracks far outside of town, used borrowed wind walk and locate object scrolls to travel to and home in on location, tracks turned out to be thrikreen which were favored enemies of scarlet shadow, tracks showed some buried themselves underground (didn't try to dig them up but they were apparently youngsters in the pack) while smaller group moved on to explore nearby fort, tried asking kreen what they were doing but they got paranoid when we mentioned the buried ones and they attacked to the death, followed other tracks and arrived at abandoned foundation fort with dead guards, looked in basement and found foundation renegades with 'pistols' restoring infernal device, they attacked but went down quickly, leader tried sabotaging device which did some heat damage to PCs but we deactivated it (also got scrapping components)

s021 (and nov25 downtime) scarlet shadow found a 'bunker door' hidden a few miles outside arboretum while scouting, recruited a party to explore by putting up flyers for 'dragonchess master in tavern' (expecting the door was just buried treasure of some kind), escorted PCs to door, told them it was magically trapped, then hid around a rock while the others 'disarmed' it by setting it off and damaging everyone (which also destroyed the stone door), after resting, followed tunnel few miles back in direction of town, found 'demonic shrine', jeweled crown guarded by swarm of miniature demons (syl considered absconding with it but eventually sold it and split with party as normal), 'summoning circle' guarded by shadow demons, maze covered by evil webs (some of which dallas ate), several giant spiders and two 'demonic spiders' with harpoon and grapple webs, bad fight but no one died, past maze and narrow crevice found basement office with trapdoor leading up to town casino, later learned this was "ter" who was leading the demon cult and betraying foundation, he knew we were coming because of flyers and ran away once someone finally explored the escape tunnel

s026 lirizel elf with sandskimmer boat recruited PCs for convoluted plan, wanted to get past a prismatic sphere somewhere and needed alchemical frost to bypass one of the color layers, plan involved 'web of favors' and trying to get a caravan of goat-drawn carts carrying alchemy equipment to a certain location, sailed to a joshua tree then use borrowed tree stride spell to teleport to the deep desert looking for a shrine, intercepted by sphinx, asked semi-obscure riddles then revealed a temple entrance buried under the sand, "athenaeum of Djehuti" which is apparently an ancient temple to Moradin (this whole section was referencing the quelmar brightwater campaign), wandered through labyrinth and found decapitated minotaur who had his head sewn back on and was semi-resurrected, non-hostile just wanted to smoke hash and make friends so he led us out of the maze and to the "narthex of the moon", used reflected light beams from outside to activate portal on wall which led to quelmar's moon, barren gray landscape, started taking sunburn damage but found pit with hermit living inside, eros the hermit wanted us to recover gemstone egg from feywild in exchange for making alchemical frost, opened portal, met with archfey sylvara who said she wanted some local hags dead or evicted in exchange for egg, traveled through planar forest to 'cottage' which was just an illusionary screen hags were hiding behind, attacked by three hags, they had mostly debuffs so fight was irritating but not super lethal, brought heads back to sylvara but she also wanted someone to sacrifice 1 con point to her, dallas sacrificed 2, got special fey ability to avoid creditors, brought egg back to eros, found out he was a gem dragon and egg was his spawn, dragon gave dallas a magic dragonmark because of additional sacrifice, took portal back to quelmar and were mindwiped by feywild to forget location of the moradin temple, paid with magic items from lirizel

Current Magic Gear

Mnemoshard (attuned) looted from oct25 downtime after s008

(common) "This 4-inch crystal can store approximately 80,00 words worth of information. As an Action while holding the crystal, a creature who knows the command phrase can establish a mental connection to it. On subsequent rounds, for as long as they maintain concentration (as if concentrating on a spell), they can access information on some topic already contained in the shard and/or add new information.

When adding information (at up to 100 words per minute), the creature chooses one or more languages they can speak. Retrieving that information (at up to 500 words per minute) requires knowing at least one of these languages. Creatures capable of telepathy who know the command phrase can "read" information regardless of its associated languages and can "write" languageless entries that are accessible only via telepathy. Users typically include metainformation similar to a table of contents or an index for more convenient access to specific topics.

Attunement to the crystal allows using it without first spending a round to establish a mental connection and without the need to maintain concentration. In addition, the attuned creature can use the crystal as a spell reservoir for features like the wizard's Spellbook (respecting the usual costs in gold and time to "scribe" spells into it, the usual restrictions on creatures reading or copying spells from it, and so forth.)"
