The Edesian is a tavern opened by a witch named Edna with the help of her rat familiar Soux.

The original tavern was located in Cauldomo and well-known for having the best food around with a menu of ever-rotating chef specials. Edna served as cook and occasional barkeep.
History[edit | edit source]
Edna temporarily closed up the Cauldomo tavern in 465 PR and joined the heroes of Ancients Alive.
In 466 PR, Edna opened a second Edesian in the city of Galik which became a vital gathering place for the heroes' resistance against The Paladin during the Arctic Autumn.
As part of the heroes' quest to destroy the Tools of the Primordial Ancients, Edna sacrificed herself by trapping her soul in the Crown of Empyrosis. She left the Galik location of The Edesian to her friends Blumenthal, Soux, Red, and Maverick—who displayed the disempowered tools above the bar so that Edna could watch over her tavern always.
Blumenthal took over the Galik location's day-to-day operations and it became an occasional home for members of their original adventuring team whenever they passed through the city. They kept a Sorcyst Blade teleportation sigil carved on the floor in one of The Edesian's rooms—a remnant from when the tavern served as the team's base of operations during their realm-wide search for The Paladin—which Maverick often utilized to visit from Jewelspar with his army of wards in tow.
