Zanther Bowen is a Chaotic Good Fire Genasi Prismari Pledgemage at Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane. He is one of the "popular kids" of his class, and though he may not be the best student, his charm gets him pretty far. He is also incredibly light, incredibly flexible, short for his age, and incredibly flashy, which landed him an easy spot as the Mage Tower Cheer Squad's primary flyer. To make sure he lives up to this task, he also works out with the Intramural Gymnastics Club.

Zanther knows all too well the core values of how to survive in this world, or at least, he has a good idea of a system that works for him. Born as the 7th of 12 children in the Bowen family, the reason Zanther's charm is able to shine so fiercely, like a sun in the sky, is because he is used to fighting time and time again for the affection of his parents. Every bit is a step. Every smile is like payment, every laugh is like a gold mine. He can't even fathom the idea of not constantly being in a fight for his own popularity.
He needed to be the most popular to survive in his home. Many kids came through the Bowen household. Not every single kid lived to step back out of the doors and live their own life. Between twelve kids, a mom with not enough time on her hands and a deadbeat dad who could either be found high on drugs or high on a gambling addiction, there was only so much love to go around. Zanther's mom would never admit it, but she unfortunately was forced to invest in the kids who she thought could give back. Zanther picked his favorites, played his cards, and made it out.
Stepping out into the real world has, at times, opened his eyes to the way that the real world works, and there is a sinking pit in his stomach about what he'll do when the time comes when no one cares about his popularity. He knows that his time in the spotlight will eventually come to a close, and that he'll be left with nothing but old habits to fall back on and die with like his mother did. But for now...he'll stay blissfully drunk on the sweet taste of the limelight.
