Cormack is a Triton Valor Bard + Silverquill Student and Performer who originally worked for the Finfolk Fiasco Undersea Circus, currently partaking in the events in Curriculum of Chaos.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Cormack is....to put it bluntly....an idiot. But a lovable idiot. A himbo if you will. He grew working in the circus and knowing nothing but the circus, so he quickly learned how to perform, tell a lie, and work a crowd. However, his childhood contained very little formal education. He is a kind soul who wishes for personal liberty for all, though he still confines himself to chains he was born into instead of listening to his own words.

Cormack does enjoy the circus life he was thrust into, but he has always wondered what he might have done had he not be forced into it by Rickert. It's not so bad though, especially since all the injuries can be chalked up to his own foolishness and lack of skill.

History[edit | edit source]

Cormack's parents died when he was an infant after they tried to swim through the currents and approach Kiston. He was taken in by another Triton, Rickert Silverfin, a Silverquill Alum of Deroulex, and the Ringleader of the Finfolk Fiasco. He raised Cormack to be a circus performer, having him learn trapeze, sea lion taming, and matadoring. Cormack eventually settled into the matador life as his main act, but he can still pick up other circus performances when need be.

His life in the circus was mostly uneventful, aside from the circus itself. He never really made friends as a lot of the other performers would come and go or die before Cormack could get close with them, so the closest things to friends he had were his adoring fans. When Cormack turned 20, Rickert began grooming Cormack to become the new Ringleader upon Rickert's death, which meant Cormack needed to start learning more dangerous acts, and performing alone more often, so Rickert began having Cormack train his matadoring against bigger and bigger sealife. When Cormack was 22, he thought he was ready to fence a Marlin, but was caught off guard mid-act by the fish's needle nose, which stabbed him in the eye, landing him in the infirmary for a week and removing him from the circus until he learned to fight with one eye. Cormack thought himself ready too soon, and reentered the ring when he was 23, starting with a fence against a Great White Shark. However, due to missing his left eye, he did not see the shark approaching while he was boasting to the audience after a successful dodge, and the shark caught him on his left shoulder, and bit off his left arm. Fortunately, Cormack still had his sword arm, and was able to kill the shark before it ran off with his arm, before passing out. Rickert fortunately has talented clerics on hand who where able to reattach his arm, as it was still in tact, unlike his eye which had been popped like a balloon.

After this, Rickert realized he was not going to be able to teach Cormack what he needed to know to become an efficient matador, but didn't want to abandon the young man, and wrote a letter of recommendation for him to attend Deroulex. Rickert's notability as a former and majorly successful alum landed Cormack a spot, who was forced to attend the school, with his education paid for by Rickert himself.

Since arriving at school, Cormack mostly laid low, biding his time at the Intramural Water Dance Club and his job at the Aerojaunt Field as a Groundskeeper and Sparring Partner, though recently he was invited on a daring heist to break in Dapplewing Deroulex's manor to steal Sassy Sally Jane, invited by Quentillius. Cormack's expertise at commanding his partners kept the party alive as they fought a Dress of Bones, and afterwards he began making friends, first with Rio and Grimmwood, and seemingly making an impression on Xi as of late.

At this time, Cormack is planning on becoming a Silverquill major, though he has yet to decide which emphasis.

Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Cormack is a valor bard, so along with the inspiring and confusing abilities that come with being the spellcaster of performers, he is also able to aptly wield all weapons and shields, as well as command his teammates on the battle field on how to dodge attacks and land more deadly blows. His favorite spell at this time is Kinetic Jaunt, though he admits Identify is his most useful as he doesn't know a lick about magic items.

Attacks and Weapons [edit | edit source]

He wields a rapier and shield gifted to him by Rickert before he left for school.
