The Golden Gauntlet of Tiamat is a gauntlet forged of golden dragon scales and depicting the emblem of Tiamat. It was crafted by the dragon goddess and many years later was given to the Black Dragon Onath Venomseer in return for Onath traveling to the Ten Hells to serve Barroth the Unredeemable. After Onath was slain, the gauntlet was claimed by the cursed Barbarian, Balaam. It is a three stage magic item.
Description[edit | edit source]
This clawed golden gauntlet gleams with chromatic power and would be the prize possession for any dragon who could claim it. It was created by Tiamat during the Holy War and was wielded by both dragons and mortals.
As a three stage magic item, when a new user initially attunes to the gauntlet, they can only access stage 1 abilities. But if they continue to use the gauntlet's powers, they can unlock stages 2 and 3.

Artifact, Armor, Requires Attunement
When a creature first attunes to this artifact, they can access all Stage 1 abilities. At the DM's discretion after being attuned for a certain amount of time, the user can access Stage 2 and Stage 3 abilities. If a creature becomes unattuned to the item and later becomes reattuned, they could access all stage abilities they could before.
Stage 1
- Elemental Protection. Two times her long rest you can cast Absorb Elements.
- Draconic Strike. Once per turn, when you hit with a weapon or spell attack, you can add 1d8 acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.
Stage 2
- Draconic Might. Once per turn, when you hit with a weapon or spell attack, you can add 2d8 acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison damage.
- Dracon Fear. You gain advantage on Intimidation checks.
Stage 3
