Briarbank is one of three colleges in the city of Newfaire.

Located in the heart of Briar Green, Briarbank College is widely recognized as one of Newfaire’s most prestigious institutions of higher education. The campus features ivy-covered lecture halls, historic stone architecture, flowering courtyards, and expansive green spaces that integrate with the surrounding district. Briarbank offers a broad range of academic programs, including archaeology, classical studies, aerospace engineering, applied sciences, literature, philosophy, and the fine arts. The college has earned an international reputation for producing influential scholars, engineers, diplomats, and researchers across the Known World. The institution maintains strong connections with major civic organizations, industrial leaders, and government offices throughout Newfaire. As of 38 CR, the college is led by President Rowan Leiva (they/them), a respected historian and advocate for educational reform who preserves Briarbank’s longstanding traditions while expanding investment in emerging academic disciplines. Due to its location in the affluent Briar Green district and its recruitment from Briar Green and The Eaves, Briarbank has historically maintained significant financial and social barriers to entry.
