History[edit | edit source]
Early Life and Gladiatus[edit | edit source]
Gladiatus was a team composing of five total members. Tenochtitlan, Gibraltar, Agincourt, Trafalgar, and Cologne. Tenochtitlan was the group leader, directing them on tactics and mastering his sword and shield to be deadly even on his own. Gibraltar was the towering giant and mean muscle of the team. He became adept at breaking through tough defenses and more importantly striking fear into his enemies as he cleaved his way through them. Agincourt and Trafalgar are twins, and though they are small in stature, their teamwork knew no limits. They specialized in the spear and shield, using them to keep opponents at range and ensure maneuverability around the arena. And finally, Cologne. The all around teammate and orator. He could work a crowd easily while also bashing his opponents with his club, and soon became the fan favorite. These five were nearly unstoppable, winning Game after Game, championship after championship, and nothing at all could get in their way. Until the walls came crashing down.
Tenochtitlan had secretly been paying his fighters next to nothing for their contributions, but had been paying Kranik even less so. "Property. That's what you are." The words from the leader stung Kranik deeply, as he had enjoyed his time in the arena, in the spotlight. But soon he knew that in reality he was bred for this, this was his only option. And he wanted to get a piece of what he thought he was owed. He spoke with the others, about what was happening. At first they seemed mortified, and so they planned a sort of rebellion against Tenochtitlan. But, in reality, Kranik was alone in this fight. They told of his plan, and Teno then told higher powers, much higher powers, and when the time came, Kranik was betrayed. he was sent away to prison, told that if he ever came back, the results would not be so kind. And so over many years this pit festered in Kranik. He wanted his revenge, he wanted Teno's head split upon his mace. And he wants it done on the biggest stage he knows of. The center of the Games.
