Early in her childhood, around the age of 12,  El made contact with an artifact in her family's inventory-- a necklace belonging to Akasha, Queen of the Vampyres. She had followed the sound of a woman singing which led her to an ornate box hidden within her family’s private library. It was then that Ella’s study with The Great Old One began. Little did El know, Akasha, was the very being that created vampyres, thus, the sire of her grandfather, Edgar La Croix.

After Ella found the necklace, she was banned from the family’s library. Rose had the library magically locked off and guarded 24/7. Unbeknownst to Ella, there were secrets in the library that she couldn’t even fathom along with artifacts Rose wished to keep hidden. The only connection Ella would have to Akasha would be in the form of disjointed dreams. Dreams that made her question good and evil. Where did Eldrina stand in a world where both the light and dark touched her?
