Wyverns are reptilian beasts native to the island of Kiston, where they often serve under Draco-Orcs and evil Dragons.

Wyverns are often described as "armless dragons", but the differences reach much further. Wyverns operate at a level of animal intelligence, and have much more in common with drakes and dragonspawn than they do dragons.
When encountered on the (still locked) island of Kiston by the cult of Vecna, they were given the name "Verns". It's believed that their modern names might be a miscommunication, caused when the knowledge of Verns returned to the mainlands via the The Venship, and others asked about the name, saying "Why Verns?".
Wyverns are fiercely competitive, and will often perform "The Dance of Dragons" when fighting over food, essentially clawing at each other in attempts to steal food out of the others' grasps.

Wyvern Poison is a deadly toxin that makes most assassins water at the mouth. Processed Wyvern Poison is THE most dangerous naturally forming toxin in the realm.
