Brynala Shadowstep is a rogue rabbitfolk who was drawn into the BackHalls.

About[edit | edit source]

Brynala was a bit of a coward but she kept that side of herself a secret.

History[edit | edit source]

Brynala grew up on the streets, scraping out a living as a thief until she got greedy and stole something form a powerful crime syndicate. She was eventually caught, but rather than face the punishment, she was offered a chance to work for the syndicate as a scout/spy due to her unique talents. She chose to work for the syndicate while secretly plotting her eventual escape.

She had made an arch enemy in Quelmar known as "The Phantom of El Ganjo", a Ghost and demon of the night.

The last thing Brynala remembered before being banished was breaking into a vault as part of her last job before retirement. A glyph or trap in the vault was seemingly tampered with, banishing Brynala to the BackHalls. (Possibly sabotaged by El Ganjo)

It's possible that Brynala was the last creature to be banished to the BackHalls, having been banished sometime around 1295 PR, within a year of the Back-Hall's ultimate dispersal as part of the Fracturing of the Weave.

Instead of escaping the halls that year, Brynala instead was able to escape the halls via The Tovag Baragu.
