Grumble Fist-Patrick (real name Gary Fahrts) is an elven rogue and monk who operated with the Council of Wrath in the early 700s PR. He appeared in both the SotS Inc. campaign as well as the original Sick of this Shit campaign.
History[edit | edit source]
Grumble, along with WubWub ZoomZoom, came to SotS Inc on the same fateful quest that led to the arrest and confinement of their leader Killis Goodman. A talented assassin, Grumble kept to the shadows and did not let on much about himself. However, like many assassins, he worked by his own code, giving him a lawful evil air.
In the mid 700s, when SotS Inc founder Anema E. Core came out of retirement, he visited the organization he helped found in search of worthy adventurers who could join him on a handful of quests (notably investigating The Cult of the Dragon). Unsurprisingly, Grumble immediately caught Anema's eye, reason being that Grumble had quite a lot in common with Anema's ex best-friend Zugs, including:
- Elf
- Rogue
- Monk
- A thing for shadows
- Lawful Evil
- Brings "fisting" to mind
After quickly checking with his boss Killis, Grumble agreed to go with Anema, keeping tabs on him while Killis himself was on a 50 year mission into the Astral Plane. Grumble agreed to meet up with Killis "the long way around", leading to Grumble sharing 50 years of adventures with Anema and SotS Inc.
Grumble would re-encounter his old boss in Breme 50 years later, while traveling with Anema and the old crew. As Grumble and Zugs had some time to know each other, Grumble eventually decided not to help Killis destroy Zugs, instead choosing the path of evil, and turning on his former boss.
Grumble survived the battle at Breme, but would be disbarred by Anema from the team due to his...you know...keeping the fact that he was Killis' partner a secret for 50 years.
