Carissa Sevoy, better known as Sister, was a founding member of The Neighbours. She specialized in coercion, persuasion, and manipulation. She was notoriously obsessed.

Sister had a calm and delicate yet striking appearance. She was known for dressing above her station, bearing no signs of her impoverished life, wearing loose flowing silks and a rosary when she wasn't dressed in one of her various disguises.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Sister was sporadic, eccentric, fearless, and extremely unpredictable, often suggesting bizarre and dangerous courses of action. She was also a deeply faithful and grounded woman, level-headed in a crisis and uncompromising in her religious beliefs. She was highly manipulative and cunning, and a compulsive liar. For this reason, she could be trusted only by her closest companions, allies, and chosen gods.

Carissa Sevoy was born and raised in the underworld slums of Dunslough. After her mother died in childbirth and her father's grief morphed him into a no-good, abusive drunk, she quickly learned how to fend for herself and joined the ranks of the street rats that populated Dunslough. Among her underworld compatriots was Nyrx, who quickly became her trusted friend and accomplice. The two would remain close well into adulthood.
Being an extremely charming and adorable young lady, Carissa was often able to talk her way out of trouble. She participated in and engaged in a plethora of criminal activities, and was almost always able to schmooze, coerce, and eventually seduce people into doing her bidding. Between ages 15 and 18, she was arrested 8 times for crimes she did indeed commit, but was never convicted. During this time, she met and befriended the blue coat Sgt. Hidriana Kylemore, later known as Keys. She also had a torrid love affair with a fellow jail-bird (Harker)that lasted several years. Unfortunately, their relationship ended on a sour note when her testimony against him led to him being convicted of first degree assault and landed him 25 years in prison. Also unfortunately, she was legally married to him.
Over the next decade, as she continued to gain skills in manipulation and deception, Carissa Sevoy adopted a variety of identities and lived multiple lives. She was quite recognizable but also very slippery. The stress of constantly having to deceive those around her in order to survive led her to take solace in a place where secrets and lies were considered "faith": The Church. It was after she found the power of the gods that she adopted the alias Sister and underwent the process of becoming a nun. She was able to maintain her dangerous and morally gray lifestyle by easing her stress with weekly confessions and prayer. She often dragged Nyrx. now a successful and far-reaching prostitute, along with her. Eventually, she joined up with Keys and several others and became a founding member of the small but daring gang known as The Neighbours.
Abilities & Aliases[edit | edit source]
Cloak and Dagger: When using disguise or covert misdirection, Sister's actions were particularly effective.
Mesmerism: When swaying someone, Sister often caused them to forget that it had happened until they next interacted with her.
Ghost Voice: Sister knew the secret method to interacting with ghosts or demons as if they were normal humans, regardless of how wild or feral they appeared.
Like Looking in a Mirror: Sister could always tell when someone was lying to her.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When not staying with the neighbors, Carissa resided on a small farm. There she lived with her 10-year old daughter, Opal, her 5 year old son, Mica, and life partner, Jove. They were perhaps her best kept secret. They lived peacefully and did not involve themselves or even seem to be aware of her criminal pursuits.
- Carissa trained briefly as a method actor.
