The Mother's Day Riots were a conflict that emerged in Ahol in 1010 PR after an operation by the streetgang known as The Neighbours took a sideways turn.
Attempting to sneak onto one of the city's delivery vehicles (a vehicle known as a MedEx van) and steal medical supplies, the Neighbours were able to redirect the van to "accidentally" ride into the parade's path, stalling it and making it an easy target for the score. Trying to cover their bases and cause a small amount of chaos to escape, the Neighbours tried to summon a ghost, instead, they rippled the Ghost Field, unleashing an unknown number of specters, specifically those of the Mothers being celebrated that day, onto the city's streets.
The result was the distraction they needed, but it plunged the city into momentary chaos, making life harder for gangs and citizens alike.
The Blow Hole, Ahol's premier emporium for blow dart needs, was unfortunately destroyed in the chaos.
In the aftermath of this messy maneuver, gang member Sister was arrested and incarcerated for her connections to the riots.
