'''Althaea Hanali''' is a Chaotic Good-Aligned High Elf Quandrix Apprentice at [[Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane]]. Lazy to the deepest of faults, she has become quite gifted at offloading work onto her peers, whether she's getting people to do her homework for favors or disappearing just when the Horticulture Club's plants need watering. However, it would be a mistake to think her as undedicated, as under the glow of the moonlight is when she truly shines.

Althaea Hanali was born to laborers in a quaint forest village in Northern Isonhound, relatively close to the coast that would allow you to sail to Breme. Her parents made a decent living through a family-run business of lumberjacks, and they did their best to raise Althaea to follow their tradition. It worked well enough, she enjoyed the work, but she also harbored a somewhat secret passion for flowers - a rare enough one found in the forest was enough to stop her in her tracks.

She'd read about one such flower in the library, one that only grew in the shade under the light of the full moon. So rare, that only a few people had ever even seen it, much less picked it for their own. She knew that she needed to be one of them. So, at a young age, she set out under cover of darkness to find the flower. And under the branches of a tree, she did find it. But something found her as well. A bite from the shadows, and Althaea was changed.

A traveling cleric that came through town some years later was able to cure her of the lycanthropy she'd developed, but by that point, the damage was done. Any friend she'd had had left her behind for fear that she'd hurt them, and no one would trust her, unless they wanted to use her curse to capitalize on its physical strength.
