Veras Langford is a High Elf Wizard who attended Zobeck University as a reluctant architecture student during the year 1250 PR. He is the youngest son of the scholarly Langford family.

Veras had many misadventures during his time "studying" in Zobeck…such as fighting a tyrannosaurus rex at the Zobeck Art Gallery, plane-shifting into the Shadowfell, and even stopping some Devils from derailing a train into the Ten Hells. But after entering the Clocktower of Chronepsis and helping to repair its inner mechanisms, he received a blessing from Chronepsis and was displaced to the year 1293 PR…right as the Fracturing of the Weave was starting to unfold and an escaped Mutated Chimera was flattening Zobeck. Veras helped to destroy the Mutated Chimera—while also curing Terry Byte and his pack of Werewolves along the way—and received an honorary architecture degree as gratitude from the Levinkan. However, he confessed that architecture was not his calling and instead decided to become a Werewolf hunter with the goal of using his Wizardry to cure as many Lycanthropes as possible before the Fracturing of the Weave could fully envelop the Material Plane.

Veras' parents had given him explicit instructions to meet the rest of the family at Jewelspar University in the event of a "realm-fracturing cataclysm." As a result of his time-traveling, however, the other Langfords were nowhere to be found by the time he finally arrived in Jewelspar at the start of the CR era. He decided to pay a visit to the NeDNDerlander Theatre where his mother Frances had been a showgirl several centuries prior…but instead of a musical, he was astoundingly subjected to even more time-traveling shenanigans. He was able to briefly experience the theatre as it was back when his mother used to work there before being returned to the early CR era in which he had started.
