Sapphire Dragon

Sapphire Dragons are a type of Gemstone Dragon identified by the brilliant blue coloring of their scales.

Appearance

The Sapphire Dragon possesses intricate, crystalline ornamentations around their head that signals aggression. Their tail is sharp and whiplike, ending in a fine point crowned with floating shards of jagged sapphires. Their blue-colored scales are distinct from their Chromatic Blue cousins in that they are translucent and create a dazzling display of light refraction.

Abilities

The Sapphire Dragon emits a thunderous breath weapon which can quake the stone walls of their cavernous, subterranean lairs—yet alone any adventurers standing in range of its sonic pulse. They fancy themselves cunning tacticians, often taking special interest in weapons and other articles of war. They may sometimes form alliances with Emerald Dragons who will help inform their battle strategies by performing reconnaissance.

The keeper of The Galadiir and progenitor of Sapphire Dragons who served Sardior on the Ruby Court prior to the god's shattering in Prehistory.

Spinel

The Shifter-turned-Dragon who ascended to become the new Sapphire Thane of the Ruby Court during The Battle of Five Lights.
