Quelmar's Vestiges were echoes or spirits of nearly unstoppable powers that were worn down by time and space itself. Vestiges were found only in the most secret, haunted, or mysterious places known to mortals.
About[edit | edit source]
Vestiges are essentially failed gods. Too powerful to die but not powerful enough to fully ascend.
When they are imprisoned, as they often are since they can't be killed, they are usually trapped in a state of nonexistence, endowed with nearly god level power and no ability to connect with the universe.
Known Vestiges[edit | edit source]
Tiamat[edit | edit source]
At some point in history, Tiamat was said to have become only a vestige of herself, though it is not known when this occurred or for how long. But she was able to reclaim her full power by the time she waged The War of Many Names on the realm.
The BackHalls[edit | edit source]
The BackHalls were home to 11 vestiges, because of the weird temporal nature of the BackHalls, those 11 vestiges represent the only vestiges ever banished to the Backhalls. Some of them were banished in Prehistoric times, while others were quite technological, having been banished from later in the Quelmar timeline (though no later than 1295 PR as the BackHalls ceased to exist after the Fracturing of the Weave)
- Amun-Her Khepeshef, known in the halls only as The Allip
- Zuriel, known in the halls only as The Eviscerator
- Ronove, known in the halls only as The Ogre Warhulk
- Geryon, known in the halls only as The Dire Troll
- Tkhaluuljin, known in the halls only as The Crab
- Malphas, known in the halls only as The Wyvern
- Gaia, known in the halls only as The Frog
- Haagenti, known in the halls only as The Minotaur
- Ashardalon, known in the halls only as The Dragon
- Ahazu, known in the halls only as The Goristro
- Ipos, who was smart enough to live out their life at The Royal Court (BackHalls) and would introduce themselves by their own name.
