Escargotia resides in a large low-depth cavern beneath a rock formation in the Amusan wilds. It was created due to the presence of the Hydrail. Years before a magically leyline had formed a bulge in the cavern, growing into a strange root-like formation that secreted a magical sap. And at the time normal snail began to feed on this sap and over time mutated into the massive Hydrail. From the Hydrail's magic formed the Gastrosapiens, a [[race]] of small simple-minded snail folk. Escargotia is a small village in the Amusan wilds founded in the early 890s PR. it is primarily inhabited by Gastrosapiens and is the home of the Hydrail, a massive hydra-snail

Escargotia resides in a large low-depth cavern beneath a rock formation in the Amusan wilds. It was created due to the presence of the Hydrail. Years before a magically leyline had formed a bulge in the cavern, growing into a strange root-like formation that secreted a magical sap. And at the time normal snail began to feed on this sap and over time mutated into the massive Hydrail. From the Hydrail's magic formed the Gastrosapiens, a race of small simple-minded snail folk.
