He would be found by a passing monk and transported to their monastery up in the hills. The Monks of Lannisport took care of Harold and nurtured him back to good health. They recognized the internal rage Harold was housing and committed to teaching him to control it. Harold stayed with them for many years learning to control his emotions and the importance of second chances. The monks also introduced him to Turnips which he grew to adore.

Physical Appearance

A tall Elephant farmer at first look, Harold has committed himself to a life of service and care of the land. On closer look, scars run down his body from many battles he has left behind. One in particular, is a nasty gash in his shoulder which seems to have been from some sort of axe.

Personality

Harold keeps to himself unless someone makes first contact with him. After that he explodes with care and affection, often offering his new friend a fresh turnip from his bag. He is hesitant to kill and always gives his foes a second chance to turn to a better life. If his offer is refused he will turn to rage and protect what he holds dear to him.

History

Harold grew up in a very remote village devoted to the care and nurturing of the earth. They called themselves Ravens and took in any abandoned creatures needing shelter. The village was protected by a lawful good silver dragon that saw the Ravens as her children. Because of the Dragon's good nature the Raven's never needed to learn to fight or defend themselves. Harold was the exception learning the art of defense in his spare time.

One day a large group of adventurers stumbled into the city flying a red flag with a bloodied dragon on its face. And after seeing the silver dragon, attacked with fury. They aimed their attack at the peaceful Ravens without a second thought to get the dragons attention. These adventurers incurred the wrath of the dragon and a epic fight ensued. Although the dragon managed to kill half of them, she still was slain. Harold hid during the fight and only reemerged when the adventurers left. All the Ravens had been slaughtered and the body of the dragon he came to recognize as his mother lay in the town square. Harold, driven mad at the sight of his dead family drank the blood of the dragon, becoming eternally enraged and began hunting the adventures.

Harold joined a ruthless gang of mercenaries known as the Kol Company in hopes of finding the adventures in their travels. The group would go from town to town murdering who ever didn't offer a high enough tribute. One day, a particular city by the name of Raritan was putting up a large resistance to the horde outside their gate. Harold lead the reinforcements into the city clearing the remaining resistance. One of the gangs senior officers found a young girl who was the daughter of the city leader. He intended to make statement to the remaining city by burning her at the stake. This was uncharacteristically brutal for Harold's taste and protested. His protest was turned down and labeled as cowardice. At this he remembered the teaching of his old family and the peaceful life he once lived. As an act of redemption, Harold channeled his anger and slaughtered the gang to protect the young girl, Belle, from a death sentence. Harold managed to kill them all but was mortally wounded in the process. He lay on his back in a field accepting death.

Now Harold wonders the lands trying to find the dragon hunting adventures and doing everything in his power give everyone he meets a second chance.
