The Quelmar Great Wheel, also known as The Quelmar Universe or sometimes The Amittere Nebula, is the cosmology model which represents the Quelmar Realm and all of the planes which are adjacent to it. Each plane has intricate ties to surrounding planes, and is typically ruled by a single deity or entity, though some planes do share their ownership amongst a pantheon. The major exception to this is the prime material plane (Quelmar), which is the convergence point of the many forces of the planes.
Quelmar's planes each have a long history of their own. While most are as ancient as Quelmar itself, some were created at points during Quelmar's ancient history, often when greater deities found themselves in battle. The Abyss is an example of a plane created after Quelmar's creation.
Due to the concentric and adjacent nature of the Great Wheel, some planes are so close that travel between them can be done manually. Other planes must require powerful gates or portals to allow jumping between them. Typically the planes of the Inner Circle can be traveled to manually, while all of the Outer Circle planes require magical transportation.
