Vampyres were a race of cursed individuals who tracked their condition back to the first vampyre, Edgar La Croix.

Vampyres that hunt solo are runts.

History[edit | edit source]

The term Vampyre was a bastardization of the phrase "Ajiva Empire", which people heard as "Edgy Vampyre". An empire of the Ajiva (Souless) was task given to Edgar by the deity Akasha in return for being given near-immortality after Edgar prayed for her to save him from certain death.

It is widely believed that many characteristics of the vampyre curse come from Edgar and his life at the time of his ascension, such as his undead pasty appearance and fondness for two-fanged biting (his signature weapon).
