Deerward is Enrik's pet deer, purchased during the events of Session 48: Forgiving of the Fantasial Freeze,

Deerward, Valiant Stag

Enrik originally purchased Deerward from Otto Bremer, via a Potion of Stag Control, which when drank, summoned the magical stag who would serve his summoner loyally and follow their every command, even if it would result in their death.

While Deerward was alive, he proved a cute and cuddly friend (if you can ignore the antlers and skin made of bark), who would charge valiantly into battle and serve as a noble steed. While in Vermeint, Enrik instructed Deerward to stay by Lyell's side, eating sorghum with Lyell's horse Sorghum, in order to protect Deerward from the chaotic battles at hand against Uct, Xilas LaCroix, Edris, and Kara.

During the events of The MegaGame!, after Enrik and Deerward left Vermeint (the first time), the two landed in Xyneiros University amid a blowt outbreak, and helped defend the campus before assiting in research. While Enrik was visiting the Xyneiros Bestiary, Deerward disappeared moments after Savile appeared to kill Enrik, and return him to Orbis. Enrik, Chosen of Kossuth never found out what happened to Deerward, but Enrik, Eye of Chronepsis, is responsible for the disappearance. Paradoxes, timelines, and time travelling cops wielding Shepherd's Crooks be damned, Enrik was not going to let Deerward die if he knew he could save him now. So he did. Enrik, Eye of Chronepsis, mounted his loyal stag, and road off into the sunset, killing Malakai Thorne in the process as he tried to stop Enrik from creating a paradox. Now, Enrik and Deerward travel time and space, a Man, and his Valiant Stag, protecting time, and nudging it in the right direction.

Eyepatch Timeline[edit | edit source]

Chronoseptic Warning: You have entered into a lorespace from an alternate timeline, remaining here for too long threatens the multiverse. Chronepsis advises you to stay alert for any potential paradoxes that may occur, and to be aware that things here may not be what they seem in the Quelmar you usually know.

Deerward was killed in Vermeint, the Center of Power in Orbis Alius, by Kara Poole during Session 50: Nuking/Locking, and is currently lost to time after the closing of Orbis. Enrik and Yuki have both vowed to find a way to bring him back to life, as his death was unjust and undeserved, by any means necessary.

When everyone else left Vermeint to save themselves from the oncoming closing of Orbis, Enrik and Cranston were left to fight Kara alone. Kara deliberately killed Deerward as collateral damage from a line of lightning targeting Enrik, purely to cause more chaos, by Savile's instruction. Enrik and Cranston were unable to kill Kara in time, and forced to leave Orbis before its closure, unable to find Deerward's wandering soul, and place him in Mundy's Soul Buoy, in hopes to find him a suitable body upon the surface, as his old one was turned to ash.
