A Dreamscape is a demi-plane formed magically from the natural psionic energies (or thoughts) of a sleeping creature.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
- The Tomb of Horrors is said to have been recreated in a dreamscape passed on from psion to psion, allowing adventurers to explore the legendary dungeon in the safe haven of their dreams.
- Dreamwalkers have appeared in several campaigns to interpret and help fight creatures of the mind. Most notably the sibling pair of the Eastern Dreamwalker and his brother of Sylvanry.
- The great dragon Tenorixion was in possession of an artifact known as The Lens of Destiny that allowed visitors to witness his ancient memories by entering his mind.
- It has been said that one of the only ways to stop a Nightshade is to enter the dreams of the infected victim and fight the shade in a dreamscape using powerful rituals.
- This was the method used to stop the infection of a poor boy named Devyn in Ravendean.
- An uncommon magical ritual simply known as Dream allowed proficient spellcasters to create dreamscapes out of anyone's mind in the realm, and visit those dreams psionically, allowing for communication to anyone the plane, as long as they were asleep.
- This spell was often used by Scua's School of Shadows to communicate with students and alumni from afar.
