Sparkle is a 14 year old trans girl that has been secretly working as a superhero despite not having any powers of her own.
Physical Appearance[edit | edit source]
Short statured, scrawny, and still a bit childlike, easily mistaken as one, with light chestnut hair and eyes to match. As a civilian has more of a scrappy paperboy sort of aesthetic, frequently seen in more old fashioned styles, with cabbie hats and suspenders. As a hero she has a more haphazard and thrown together look with a cheap magician sort of vibe, but with a skater's safety gear slapped on top of it.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Very plucky but sensitive. She tries to be cheeky and assertive, especially in boy mode but has a lot of insecurities. She absolutely hates being treated like "a kid" or being compared to her older brother. As Sparkle she tries to be a bit secretive about her home life, especially who her broth is.
History[edit | edit source]
Sparky was brought up by a very traditional conservative family. Pretty much everything was old fashioned about them, as if trying to live up to an ideal that had long since vanished. His brother, Stan, always seemed to meet this ideal. Meeting every problem head on with hard work and an unflappable smile. In school he was top of the class, in sports he was MVP, he was even the sort of person that would get cats from trees and help old ladies cross the street. Sparky, however, never quite measured up. It's not that Sparky was bad at school or unathletic, but anything he could muster just seemed like nothing by comparison. Sparky was just... plucky. He had an interest in stage magic, but it wasn't something paid attention to. Not like Stan. And all of that was before the powers came.
The day came that Stan had the power of tactile telekinesis, and he took to it like a fish to water. By the end of the day he had a costume and started saving people. By the end of the week, he was on the front page of the papers. All Star quickly became the city's favorite teen hero. Where as Sparky was "a kid" that got in over his head. Be it through happenstance, proximity, or meddling, he would often get wrapped up in his brother's exploits. Dangling from a bridge, being held hostage, briefly turned into a goldfish, in the end he always ended up having to be saved by All Star. Certain villains even picked up on it would try to use it against All Star.
After a while, Sparky was fed up with always having to be saved, and began trying to escape on his own. During one of his attempts he managed to slip away and disguise himself as a hero. Without thinking he had put together a girl's costume, but it felt right. Not just being a girl but the idea of being a hero. She ended up keeping the costume and saving people as Sparkle.
Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]
Does not have have any superpowers or significant athletic prowess to her name. However, she is something of a stage magician, able to use trickery and showmanship to her advantage. For better or worse she has also garnered the interest and attention of the fae.
