Rubina Larkingdale is a Lawful Neutral-Aligned Human Silverquill Pledgemage at Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane. She has a sort-of "quiet elegance" to her, instantly captivating a room the moment she walks in due to her measured poise and seasoned prowess as a performer. She is incredibly innately talented, landing her numerous leading roles within the Playactor's Drama Guild, something that often causes friction between her and other club members. She also is talented musically, and performes with the Deroulex Show Band Association.

Rubina's magic is a family gift, one that has been honed through generations and taking on slightly different mutations at all times, but it is well known across the realm that the Larkingdale family is a family of sound and silence, who uses their gifts as such. Though not nobility by any stretch of the meaning, they use their gifts, whether it be siren songs, forceful sound waves, or what have you, for the betterment of others, and in return, they enjoy a cushy way of life in the upper echelons of Isonhoundian families.
They do well to maintain this position, and ever since Rubina awoke to her gift of controlling volume around her, it was instilled to her from a young age the principles of reverence, elegance, and poise. She learned how to catch someone's eye just right to make them forget about everything except for her. She learned how to speak to make people feel valued, and how to hide what she really, truly thought of them. All good skills for someone to have, and when she announced to her family her "rebellious" plans of attending Deroulex and studying to become an actor, they simply gracefully noted that it would be a slightly different path for the family to take, but still supported her. It still would serve the world well.
She does, on occasion, see the rabblerousing that goes on at Deroulex, and wish that she could be like them. From a young age, she had instilled into her the importance of keeping her wits about her, so letting that appearance slip is out of the question for her. To lower her status to the people she helps would be unthinkable. But...she does see everyone enjoying drinks at the Bow's End Tavern, shouting at the Mage Tower Games and messing around when not studying, and wonder if she's a little too fashionably late to the party.
