Kobold tribe[edit | edit source]

The Ixen Jonal (draconic for "fire hill") tribe of Kobolds was native to the continent of Isonhound. Despite the cool climate, the cold-blooded Kobolds found a series of geothermal caverns deep in the wilderness from which to create their home. The caverns were made from a stone that had amazing heat-retention properties, so the kobolds would carry chunks of the warmed stone with them on longer excursions away from their home base.

History[edit | edit source]

Founded around 760 PR by a small group of Kobolds seeking to split off from their former tribe, the tribe was never particularly large, consisting of only a few dozen members. They rarely interacted with outsiders, but were fiercely protective of their own claimed territory, clashing occasionally with animals and other nomadic groups for control. Around 821 PR, the tribe was wiped out in a single large attack by unknown forces. There is only one known survivor.

Notable Members[edit | edit source]

Kihlek Vaess[edit | edit source]

The only individual widely known to outsiders, Kihlek has since been traveling throughout Isonhound seeking adventure and to spread the name and legend of his clan.

Re'varik[edit | edit source]

The leader and one of the original founders of the tribe. Re'varik always helped foster tribe members with unique or remarkable skills and encouraged them to master them and put them to good use for the tribe's benefit. Re'varik was a sorcerer of considerable skill and by far the oldest kobold (at least over 100) that any in the tribe knew of.
