Amethyst Dragons (sometimes called Gravity Dragons) are powerful psionic gemstone dragons identified by their vibrant purple hue.

During the events of Into the Greedy Green, a number of Dragon eggs were found, rescued, destroyed, or adopted. One very important egg was the Amethyst Dragon wyrmling that would be adopted by the loxo Harold, originally protected by the emerald dragon Smargarg.
