Behir (sometimes Beithir, or nicknamed Storm Lizards) is a type of serpentine or dragon-like beast that dwells in small solitary groups around Quelmar.

Behir breathe purified essence of lightning, similar to Blue Dragons, which means that their glands can be harvested for the substance known as Caeruleam.
Some consider the behir a mortal creature, but others, especiall the small towns that have been ravaged by the largest behir, consider it to be an extension of the spirtual world, bent on bringing destruction to those who deserve it most.
Some behir are said to have connections to Hags.
Notable Behir[edit | edit source]
In 825 PR a Behir took up a lair near Deeplake, occasionally crossing into the city territory in the night, and causing the citizens to suspect a blue dragon was attacking. As a result they called the dragon slaying heroes of the Greedy Green, who would kill the Behir and free its lair back up to its rightful owner....a blue dragon.
In 893 PR a Behir by the name of Grimlight was encountered in an ancient sealed cavern guarding a rare cursed book. Members of the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company engaged Grimlight in battle and successfully slaying the Behir.
