The Quelmar Wiki

The Proxy Dragon (also nicknamed Big MAC) was an non-conscious dragon-shaped spaceship built by Most Sanctified Disciples of Sardior as part of their mission to resurrect Sardior.

About[edit | edit source]

The inside of the finished proxy dragon was home to a demiplane which contained the controls for piloting the dragon, as well as resting quarters for a crew of 6, and miscellaneous accoutrements as expected on any long-distance faring vessel.

Instead of a traditional cockpit, the interior of the Gem Dragon Construct was a demiplane with chambers for each member

The middle of the demiplane was home to an "Anchoring Column", a magical pillar which anchored the demiplane to the dragon itself. If the pillar was to be destroyed or deattuned, it would cause the demiplane to separate from the dragon, trapping whoever was inside, as well as preventing anyone outside from ever entering the dragon again. This was a dangerous way to build a ship that is larger on the inside, but as time was tight and Umbralhound was already pouring down everyone's necks, it was deemed the best way to quickly finish construciton

History[edit | edit source]

Construction[edit | edit source]

The resurrection of Sardior required reuniting "The Five" members of the old Ruby Court, but when it seemed some court members were dead or missing, MSDOS began a plan to create a massive Gem Dragon Construct, which could be piloted and perhaps take the role that a Gem Dragon Court Member would take. This construct required all the same ingredients as an Airship: Wovenstone, Fellstone, Caeruleam, and Aerocrystal, as well as a large amount of Stellar Iron to make it impervious to Astral energies.

A prototype of the Gem Dragon construct robs Pendergras Industries of Wovenstone...but not if Violet has anything to say about it.

Unfortunately by needed such a large amount of processed rare-materials, the construction of the proxy dragon put them at direct odds with fellow groups Pendergras Industries, The Order of the Watchful Eye, and The Wold Order, who had ALSO begun making Airships at the same time, using the same ingredients. Though MSDOS originally asked peacefully for the materials, they were denied, and were forced to steal and do highway robbery to get what they needed.

During The Umbral Flood, MSDOS was able to procure the rest of the materials they needed from Sneerwell by directly launching an assault on Pendergras Industries. Using the materials gathered, they completed the Gem Dragon Construct, which was now part space-ship, part airship, part dragon, and part demiplane.

To the Moon[edit | edit source]

When attempting to use the dragon to free the Amethyst Dragon in Fallhorn City, the proxy dragon was caught in a gravitational anomaly. With its crew safely stored inside, it was determined that the safest thing to do would be to stay inside the ship, as it had drifted far into Quelmar's sky, and into the Astral Plane. Eventually, the dragon was able to pull back towards Quelmar, but was unfortunately on a direct court for The Moon.

Thinking quickly, the fey elf Tristram Caniedydd guided the ship as to land on one of the rare and secretive fey gates that existed on the far side of the moon, where the ship and crew landed among the The Moon Court.

The Battle of Five Lights[edit | edit source]

The Proxy Dragon played a role in the Battle of Five Lights as well.
