The Elemental Plane of Ice is a minor plane that rests between the Elemental Plane of Air and the Elemental Plane of Water. It is a realm of towering snowy mountains and icy wastes. Its main inhabitants include Yetis, Ice Elementals, Immoths, and Frost Giants.
Notable Inhabitants[edit | edit source]
- The Elemental Plane of Ice was long the home of a clan of Frost Giants known as The Frostfell Empire. After seeking to control the magics of the plane, they were betrayed and trapped in the Plane. In 894 PR they were freed when The Glacial Rift was opened, a portal between the Material Plane and the Plane of Ice. They once again attemtped to use the plane's magic to their own end but were beat back and once again trapped in the plane of ice during The Strife of Fimbulwinter.
- Having been banished to the Elemental Plane of Ice during The Holy War, the Ancient White Dragon Ysildra had made the realm her home, lairing in the plane's frozen mountains.
