About[edit | edit source]
The Primordials were the inhabitants of the Primordial chaos. Most were simply mindless embodiments of their nature in tune with the endless ebb and flow of the primordial void. But when the gods arrived, they began to shape and populate the primordial void and taming the elements. For the first time in their existence, the Primordials were awakened and manifested as massive titans born of the elements. The primordials combated the gods and their servants throughout Prehistory and the Plane Wars, only for most to be banished and sealed away.
Compared to the gods the primordials are some of the most powerful creatures in all of Quelmar, being literally composed of the same elements that Quelmar and its inhabitants are made of.
Notable Primordials[edit | edit source]
The Divine Dragons Sardior and Tiamat[edit | edit source]
At the heart of the Primordial Void were the divine dragons Sardior and Tiamat, the representation of the endless ebb and flow of the chaos. They ride the line between gods and primordials. Their blissful balanced eternity was disrupted by the arrival of the gods. In response, the divine dragons would create their own beings, the divine dragons Bahamut and Chronepsis. But as the gods continued their work, the divine dragons resisted, and in response the gods shattered and destroyed Sardior.
The Elemental Demi-Gods[edit | edit source]
The Primordial Demi-Gods, also known as the Primordial Ancients, were four Primordials embodying earth, fire, water, and air. To combat the encroaching creation of the gods, the Primordial Ancients crafted the Tools of the Primordial Ancients, powerful artifacts that could command the elements, and used these tools to tempt the mortal servants of the gods against them. But the creation of these tools would backfire against the ancients as the tools would be used to channel and banish the Primordial Ancients into the elemental planes.
