Feywine is a potent alcoholic beverage that originated from elven communities in Isonhound but swiftly spread across the realm as the sylvan equivalent to Dwarven Spirits.
About[edit | edit source]
Feywine and Dwarven Spirits go down easily for elves and dwarves, but are incredibly intoxicating to Humans and other races without a tolerance built up over generations. Unlike dwarven brews, however, Feywine is intoxicating to the mind. It's special formulation of sylvan berries, properly aged (either with an enzyme or by letting sit), causes individuals who drink excess Feywine to exhibit hallucinations.
Recipe[edit | edit source]
- Start with 1/2 Cauldron of Water
- Boil the water
- Fill with red berries
- The darker the berry, the more potent the wine
- Boil berries for 1 hour, and then mush and ferment mixture into a mead.
- After mushing, add Sugar and Ginger
- Drain liquid into a container to save for later.
- Seal remnants of mead and let sit for 13 hours.
- Add honey and yeast to drained liquid
- Boil new mixture and then put on ice for several hours.
- Collect sublimated vapors of iced liquid and combine with mead.
- Alternatively, the vapors can be inhaled for a particularly potent experience.
