Pearl Dragons (or River Dragons) were an elusive and rare type of Gemstone Dragon that tended to stay out of the public's eye by laying low on the bottom of riverbeds.

About

Unlike other dragons, Pearl dragons had a surefire way to resurrect themselves after death, but only if all of their bones could be recollected and brought into a river, from which they reattune with the dragon's spirit, who is reborn.

Notable Pearl Dragons

  • MentztonalCoatl, the father of Tlayohualcoatl, who was captured and used as a servant in The Firegates, asked to impersonate and scare would-be adventurers as part of a contrived trial.
    • MentztonalCoatl spearheaded effort to find his daughter's bones after his release from the Firegates by heroes of the Greedy Green.
