Vadim Grimauld is a tiefling necromancer and eldritch dabbler who became trapped in The BackHalls in 490 PR. He once called himself "The Janitor" of the BackHalls and the name stuck, way to go Ben.

Vadim was already undead, seemingly decaying as he walked the halls, with flesh hanging half off his face and dangling from his fingers.

History
Vadim was haunted by Ahazu, and either came to the BackHalls to hunt Ahazu...or maybe Ahazu came here to hunt Vadim.
He watched his village be slaughtered, but was seemingly spared.
He prefers to scavenge, he doesn't like to make corpses or kill people to make bodies, he prefers to "clean up" the damage in the wake of destruction.
His last memory in Quelmar before banishment was of him being in the woods, practicing his newest spell when he felt another presence, a familiar glint piercing through the night.
