The Haven (Also nicknamed "The Biʇchhouse") is a strategic outpost founded just outside the village of Manquel in south central Osugbo, at some point in the 600s PR it was relocated from outside of Manquel to another yet-established location.
History[edit | edit source]

After it's destruction in The Cavalry Rush, the abandoned garrison served little purpose to the immediate area. Though it was known that in times of intense weather, nearby farmers and citizens would flock to its fortified walls to find shelter from the storm, including a young Clover Softpaw and Eloise Jenkins.
After a Blowt was summoned to the area and then killed by a group of heroes in the early days of the Arctic Autumn, the town repaid the heroes by offering them shelter and beds at the abandoned outpost. While not much of a reward, it inspired the heroes to take the place as a new home, and together they began work renovating, rebuilding walls, refurnished rooms, and turning it into a true home for themselves and a slowly growing group of loyalty Bastion Defenders.
In 466 PR, captain Maximillian Brightsteel of the Balabag army was tasked to bring a large platoon of soldiers south to the outpost in the coldest of the Arctic Autumn's winter. Upon arriving, the members of the bastion negotiated a trade which would ensure the soldiers could return back to Balabag unharmed and celebrated as heroes, as they would be bringing in the prominent Kossuth patron Kiun Xeo back to the city of the phoenix.
On the first day of the year 467 PR, the Haven then came under attack by the very same Kiun Xeo, now a powerful and prominent leader among the various Fire Cults that sprung up during the Arctic Autumn. Xeo blamed the members of the Bastion for removing him from the protection of the garrison, an action which lead to his death at the hands of Xilas LaCroix. It was only because Kiun Xeo was restored to life by the Bhéara that he was able to return and take revenge with a plan that would demolish the Fortress. A plan that ultimately failed.
By 30 CR the Haven had become a historic attraction on the road leading south of the ruins of Balabag. For the most part, it's only visitors were those who stopped to read the historic marker plaque, and as a result, the mysterious powers that still laid inside were unknown to the masses, though some kids were known to come away from the Haven's ruins with ridiculous notions that magic might still be real.
The End[edit | edit source]
A contemporary retelling of the eventual fall of the Bastion in 50 CR, as told by its guardian Cecilia.
I think any animal unfortunate enough to be within sight would see as the structure slowly, stone by stone, seems to disassemble itself. turning into a number of humanoid figures, they would then watch as those figures and the "animatronics" that were inside pick up the furniture and walk off into the night. this new parade of beings would wander off and around until they stumbled upon a small city on the continent of west Levinkan called Holenise. one of the few pockets in the world where magic still exists. as it has for the centuries before, Bitch House would reform to become a watcher, a caretaker, and a bastion for all those who live there or seek shelter and guidance. no longer a museum, but a haven for those in need. filled with heroes and adventurers of old...and one eager to help, porcelain Otomo...because every sunrise passes, but I'll still be here
