The Island Impeller was a creation of Teslex, combined with help from the technologocially advanced colony that descended from the Warforged colony of The Sky Net. The purpose of it was to "drive" the island against The Tourbillion, a massive whirlpool which was at risk of devouring the whole island and its colonies.
It was known as early as 3/16/190 CR that the Impeller had critical faults that would lead to its failure, and ultimately the demise of the island of Cof alongside its inhabitants.
The impeller was repaired by a team of Troubleshooters from Alpha Complex including Pixel, Evo, Ezra, and countless allies of their secret societies that they had hoarded "IOU"s from. Only with the combined IOU expedenture of the heroic troubleshooters were they able to repair the impeller and save the island.
