Teslex was a human colony on Cof that was founded in the late PR (or maybe early CR) era. They shared a love-hate relationship with the neighboring Warforged colony known as The Sky Net.

IslandImpeller[edit | edit source]
The IslandImpeller was a joint project from both companies, built to save the island from the doom of Quelmar's growing central void after The War of Many Names.
Immortality[edit | edit source]
Teslex' big rise to fame included the development of a cloning algorithm (and partnered MemoMax system) that allowed for anyone to automatically be cloned and revived upon death, leading to a functional immortality. The cloning procedures innovated by Teslex were taken to the extremes, and they claimed that through this technology they had solved "all problems with entertainment and nourishment", though the specifics are still unknown how that was done.
The secret to the immortality was powered by a machine that siphoned energies off a monster from the Underdark known as Budli (or Patient Zero).
Alpha Complex & Friend Computer[edit | edit source]
The first attempt at creating a safe, isolated utopia, Teslex unironically called themselves "The Alpha Complex", and shut its doors from most of the world as it perfected Cloning technology, technology which it claimed solved all problems with "entertainment and food", leading most to believe they truly were the happiest society on Quelmar.
Wanting to improve their own neighboring colony, The Sky Net arranged a trade, they would give Teslex access to Sky Net's most powerful friend, an AI called Friend Computer that oversaw operations across Cof. In return, Sky Net learned the secrets of cloning and happiness. However, the Friend Computer that Teslex then reverse engineered became...corrupted....broken....the version of Friend Computer that Quelmar is more familiar with.
The first version of Friend Computer almost destroyed Teslex in its entirety, leading to a mass extinction among its masses.
