A Prophecy is an often cryptic warning about future events, often given by clerics and seers.

List of Prophecies

Tiamat's Return

"The dragon goddess foretells serenity. The underscaled of the people of the west will revive the wings of the kingdom. The city of the mountain is taken from the woman of the north. A time of war will end."

• This prophecy warned of Skelya (the underscaled) and her followers, who would go on to help revive Tiamat. The city of the mountain referred to the Friends of Kragnux, ripped from Skelya's control.

Swine Run

"The pigs will be the downfall of us all."

• This prophecy warned of demon swine housed in The Doomvault who would be unleashed and murder several of The Best Around including Fia.
• Many also believed the prophecy referred to Axel, whose reign as The Levinkan gave him the title "The Swine King" due to the messy way he handled any and all of his political endeavors.

The Paladin

"The day the ground turns liquid, a false prophet will rise for a new evil."

• Prophecy from the church of Grumbar which would allude to The Arctic Autumn (in which the realm's surface became coated in water, and then frozen to ice) The "False Prophet" is believed to have been referring to the Oathbreaker known as "The Paladin" and his new evil being the destruction of the elements themselves.
  • Other interpretations of the false prophet exist, including the prophet being Yro, Midnight, Edna or Wanda.
  • These interpretations could be even more true as they occurred as the ice began to melt, indeed coating the realm with the muddy water remnants of the great freeze.
  • One last interpretation has the false prophet being Rowan, who had literally risen into the sky in order to achieve the evil thing known as "Marriage".

The Prosperity Anthologies

The Prosperity Anthologies were a set of prophecies making rounds during the year 10 PR, directly related to The Curse of Life and the return of Pelor.

• "The goddess of death foretells serenity. The dragon star foretells war. The daughter of the moon will seduce the prince of the scythe. A time of prosperity will follow."
• "The peaceful lord will burn again. The dark defender will ascend. The realm of peace foretells winged prosperity."
• "The griffin of the people of the south will find the army of the palace. The pocket healer of the west will restore the kingdom. The dark of night foretells prosperity."
• "The golden traitor will fall. The children of the sundering are ravaged by the warrior of the sun. The god of justice foretells prosperity."
• "There comes a day when the last reborn is, a promise held shall bring forth the rise of new evils and an age of prosperity."
• "When the moment comes that the daughter becomes the mother, friends shall break families but bring an era of prosperity."
