After hatching, Kobolds mature to adulthood after 1 year. Contrary to popular belief, Kobolds can actually live a very long time, up to 120 years in fact. Any kobold older then 100 years is granted the title of "''Great Wyrm.''" But in practice, given their penchants for chaos, poor decision making, and for being the minions of greater powers, few kobolds ever live past the age of ten.
Kobolds with rich draconic heritage can live to be over 100 years old, while kobolds of poor blood often live only a decade or two. However, most kobolds had a mixed heritage leading to an average lifespan of about 50 years.

Kobolds are small draconic creatures comparable to Goblins.

Kobolds belong in nests, usually containing hundreds of members. Kobolds reproduce quickly and house massive hatcheries in their underground or mountainside hideouts.

A lineage of kobolds descending from the refugee Kobolds of the fallen city of Thelrya in Amusa. unlike most Quelmar Kobolds, they are much taller and stronger, looking similar to Dragonborn. The two known settlements of Thelryan Kobolds were Thinwhistle and Drakemire Hollow, both of which had been destroyed by 893 PR.
