Great Fissure Nursery Rhymes

This is a collection of nursery rhymes related to the Quelmar Great Fissure fairy tale and its four primordial artifacts: the crown of the Amusan empyrosis, the staff of the Osugborn marsh, the orb of the Pterish gales, and the wand of the Feytouched spout. These poems were compiled by Detective Agotcha under the direction of Dutharr from Galik's Lyreguard. Any information that might be gleaned from these is dubious at best, and these rhymes constitute only a small part of Agotcha's wider investigation into the crown and other artifacts. Agotcha's notes are included in italics.

Hush, Little Baby

Hush, little Baby, don't make a sound,

Mama's gonna warm you with a fancy crown.

And if its flames cause a nasty squall,

Mama's gonna calm it with a big bright ball.

And if that ball doesn't make you laugh

Mama's gonna bury it with her strong staff. ---- Can the staff destroy the orb? Other sources indicate the crown can destroy the staff.

And if earthquakes upset the pond

Mama's gonna stop it with a splashy wand.

And if after that you're still gonna cry,

Mama has the power to make everyone die.

That took a sudden turn. It seems that the final verse has several variants, depending on who sings it. One variant is:

And once my powers are unfurled,

Baby can watch Mama raze the whole wide world. ---- "raze" is sometimes replaced with "save"

Four Little Relics

No little relics under the sun,

Ro burned things up and then there was one. ---- "Ro" must be short for "empyrosis", the crown

One little relic following Kossuth

One split the crag and then there were two. ---- the Howling Crag??

Two little relics travel cross the sea,

Isonhound flooded and then there were three.

Three little relics back from days of yore,

A cruel betrayal and then there were four;

Four little relics reunited at last

All days of joy will be days long past. ---- Once again, ominous endings. Who tells kids such dark rhymes, anyway?

Boom, Boom, Crack

Boom, boom, crack! Better watch your tracks!

The land is splitting and it won't go back!

Crack, crack, rip! Pteris takes a trip!

It goes towards summer and is dry as a whip! ---- What does "dry as a whip" even mean??

Rip, rip, roar! Amusa moves more!

Its autumn placement means that -

You know what? Forget transcribing meaningless nursery rhymes for Duthar and his ungrateful adventurers. You know what Duthar told me? That a sorcerer on his team questioned my investigative authority, saying "Detective Agocha" was awfully "punny." You know what's punny? A Dragonborn named Medrash who's irritating and burns everywhere. Screw this, the myths are more useful anyways.
