The Tourbillion as seen at the end of the CR era, shortly before devouring the rest of the world.

The Tourbillion [prnc. tur-bee-YON] also known as The Whirlpool, The Void, the Sinkhole, the Portal, and many other names, was a massive vortex of energies and ocean currents that formed when the Fracturing of the Weave finished, leaving a small but infinitely dense moment of depth in the center of Quelmar.

Avoiding the Tourbillion

Cof

Of the Kiston islands, Cof most famously avoided a quick and instant absorption thanks to the combined efforts of Teslex and The Sky Net, who devised an IslandImpeller system that "drove" the island against the currents, keeping it in place, as long as the impeller never failed. When it did momentarily fail, citizens of Alpha Complex were dispatched and successfully patched it up.

Behind the Screen
