Dragons are creatures of great power, and have occasionally been known to bestow their inherent mystical energies onto other creatures via Draconic Boons (sometimes also called Dragonmarks).

Draconic boons often manifest on the inheritor in the form of a tattoo or other physical form, often referred to as a Dragonmark. Though the two terms are often interchanged, not all draconic boons leave dragonmarks.
