This is the local pit fighting establishment This is a great way for those who swing swords to have something to swing at that is not some unsuspecting merchant or refugee. In the month long series of battles many a participant has amassed a fortune. Many more have amassed an impressive number of scars and bruises. Of course to sooth those bruises may a pit fighter turns to boozes which recycles that amassed fortune back into the local pub economy. |

This is a center that hosts many different types of the bardic arts from Song, Storytelling, to Rhetoric and many disciplines in-between. This large multi theater building was reported to be a gift from an entity called the Curator who had it build in a single night by some sort of magical process. This Curator appears to have made this happen due to Tristram's singlehanded neuralization of Horatio Cheshire during the assault on the shadow forge. The building itself often seems to be alive and appears to generally follow the commands of it's owner Tristram Caniedydd of the clan Fey de Caniedydd. There is reported to be a vault somewhere in the building that holds many instruments and songbooks of power and interest. Others say it is an empty room that is awaiting fulfillment. Regardless of the functions and décor on the internal rooms, this became a center for arts and entertainment for the whole of Quelmar. |

Seglock is a city in Isonhound which is used as a base by many an adventurer to ply their craft to protect the large influx of refugees cause by the troubles of the surrounding areas. Many are the plots and malaxations of the various inhabitants. While the majority of the populous would love to see life return to normal, there are many who use the chaos and calamity to advance their plots and plans.
About
This city is run by a Mayor and has a city guard. There are most likely temples and other such things, however these are not interictal to this page for the moment. There are a lot of refugees seeking protection from the depredations of the Dragons. Darkkoths, and various other nasties in the surrounding area. The Moonwell offers some additional protection to the city by keeping out dragons.
The makeup of the races in Seglock seems to be predominately human, as NPC's outnumber the actual players in the city. There is not a lot of racial strife even with allowing many different races into the city. There is a lot of wealth in the city due to the presence of the University and the tenure of it's legions of professors. There also is an influx of coin into the local economy due to students needing to drink large amounts of stress relief in town due to the probation regulations against alcohol on campus. Well on campus for the students as Drunken is not an official school of magic. Professors and staff are allowed to drink whenever and whatever they wish, which is most likely due to the presence of a large student body.
History
This city existed prior to the gala of protection, however it was not until this event that Tristram Caniedydd arrived so that prior history (BT) matters not as much at the timeframe after Tristram entered the City (TA). When you think Bard, you should think (TA)
Notable Places
Drang's Cart o Pumpkins
A donkey cart of never-ending pumpkins owned and operated by Drang an Bugbear of fighting prowess and loquacious of speech. Often found near the Iron Eyrie, but sometimes not. This is really a place that as it is mobile is not a physical location, but more of a metaphysical concept illuminating... no it is a mobile pumpkin shack.
Gag Order
This is a Muzzle shop owned by Linden Rue and some bard. they offer a great selection of muzzles of all sorts and have even branched out to gags made of wood.
Iron Eyrie
Home of the Band of the Iron Hawks This guildhall is located in the heart of the Heartland District. It features a large guildhall as well as private rooms. They have a Armory and Smithy attached, as well as an Alehouse where they sell their unique Beer.

Many people of the town have never passed into the venerable institution's three gates . These gate are affectionately known as East Gate, West Gate, and Center Gate. This institute of higher learning has spawned some great alumni including the late Horatio Cheshire.
The fighting Owlbears participate in the Olympia Magisteria for the honor of the University. they are three times champions of this important sport that not even the depredations of Dragons have been able to have a game postponed or even delayed.

Tristram's Center for the Performing Arts (this link works although it is red) (aka TCFTPA)
This is a center that hosts many different types of the bardic arts from Song, Storytelling, to Rhetoric and many disciplines in-between. Trout's Toe
Small bar that has had some explosive entertainment. If you need to let off steam the Monk's Mosh Pit is a great way short of the entering the Murder Hobo Pit of Fighting.
Notable Events
Assault on the Shadow Forge
An event that didn't actually take place in Seglock, as the city is not located on the Plane of Shadowfell. If it had been there would be a lot less living refugees. Although it did not take place in the city proper, it is included as this was the fall of Horatio Cheshire and the end of his reign of terror over the city and it's people.
Gala of Protection
This gala was formed to thank the various adventures from around Isonhound who had done their thing around the local of Seglock. These activities range from protecting not just the refugees who had fled to the City to shielding the population of Seglock from the growing threat of Dragons. This gala features many vendors and activities that included the crowning of the Tin Chef - the winner of the cooking Contest. This first Gala also makes the first time Tristram Caniedydd made his presence known in the City, which is most likely the reason this Gala makes the Notable Event list.
Notable People
Balgeiros Quodrephostir the elixir merchant
Balgeriros ( Bal to his friends) has the finest selection of herbal remedies from the Feywild to cure what ails you and possibly a few things that didn't. Patent pending. If you are not sure anything ails you, try a flask of my nearly area famous Eladrin Ale, and get a flask of Conjectural hangover be gone at half price.
This PC? is a wood elf or some sort of elf, as his origins seem to be a little obscured. He is not human, so he is most likely not an NPC.
A Merchant and Private Citizen who's title of Baron is completely honorary. Apparently hold sex parties and has a lot of people wanting to kill him. They were most likely never invited to the parties. This NPC is an Eladrin. But an asshat of an Eladrin, not really a good example of how awesome the race can be.
Galloway, Professor
A professor from Seglock University. one of the only professors to interact with the town, mostly due to his interaction with Tristram during the attack on the University when Tristram assisted in saving his life and the lives of several students. This NPC is a Human, which bodes well for the future of humanity.
This notable was responsible for the deaths of many local citizens due to using his Alchemical skills to create a mutated series of Orcs and Goblins. He culminated in taking over the Shadowforge, which caused Tristram to have to deal with him along with a company of adventurers. He is currently not living and the remains of his physical form is on the excrement of a riding beast he created called a Nope. This NPC was a Human, which is par for the course.
Barkeep of the Locke & Key Tavern. Not a Human, even though he is an NPC this notable guy is a Satyr.
That Guy
You know him, he is annoying, He is the epitome of 'That Guy' . He shows up when you are trying to get on with the adventure and has to pay his multi gold piece bar bill in copper commons. As he has had too many, he keeps loosing count and cannot remember how many copper make up a gold in this current edition anyway. He is secretly the BBEG of the whole campaign, although he is currently untouchable due to plot armor. Human most likely as That Guy is an NPC.
Towson, Mayor
Mayor of Seglock, semi self explanatory. Human most likely as the mayor is an NPC.
Bard, adventurer, owner of TCFTPA and all around great guy, er, Eladrin. This Bard is a great example of Eladrin and is a great example of how Froody this race can be.
Visio, Captain
Captain of the Seglock city guard. Human most likely as the captain is an NPC.
