Discussion

Lessons From Your Forefathers was a pamphlet of Dragon fighting tips disseminated from the great Silver Dragon Sro and sent out across Isonhound in 825 PR.

Contents

  • 1 Lessons from your Forefathers
    • 1.1 Rule 1: Don't Fight a Dragon in its own Lair
    • 1.2 Rule 2: Work together with your allies.
    • 1.3 Rule 3: Elemental Arrows of Dragon Slaying are more useful than Guns and Explosions
    • 1.4 Rule 4: Try to fight a dragon from underneath, their bellies are softer.
    • 1.5 Rule 5: Pin them down if you need to bring in a bruiser.
    • 1.6 Rule 6: Spiked Armor can prevent being eaten or squeezed to death.
    • 1.7 Rule 7: Above all else, weapons should never need be to be drawn when a Dragon can always be stopped with Trickery.

Lessons from your Forefathers[edit | edit source]

Rule 1: Don't Fight a Dragon in its own Lair[edit | edit source]

  • The The Green Stag, for example, was driven out of its lair before being conquered.
  • The fight against the Black Dragon Thymor'ala was a blatant disregard of this rule, but in return for the extra deadly fight, the heroes were able to recover 3 black dragon eggs.

Rule 2: Work together with your allies.[edit | edit source]

Rule 3: Elemental Arrows of Dragon Slaying are more useful than Guns and Explosions[edit | edit source]

Rule 4: Try to fight a dragon from underneath, their bellies are softer.[edit | edit source]

  • Ulka unfortunately learned this lesson the hard way when a dragon fell onto her, though it let her climb on top from underneath to follow up with the next rule.

Rule 5: Pin them down if you need to bring in a bruiser.[edit | edit source]

Rule 6: Spiked Armor can prevent being eaten or squeezed to death.[edit | edit source]

  • Stan was protected in a fight with the Green Stag by using powerful spiked armor borrowed from Spinel & Dancer of the Boreal Valley.

Rule 7: Above all else, weapons should never need be to be drawn when a Dragon can always be stopped with Trickery.[edit | edit source]
