Smargarg was a lesser Emerald dragon who had taken up hiding in Isonhound during the events of Into the Greedy Green in 825 PR.
About
Drawn to Isonhound by powerful emerald energies, Smargarg suspected that there were other emerald dragons like himself in the region, but somehow could not confirm his suspicions, as the largest and most ancient of emerald dragons: Feredemius, had cloaked his own presence in a corruption of shadow energies.
While working in the region, Smargarg converted a group of Kobolds into Emerald-Touched Kobold Dragonshields who worked underground in his lair. These kobolds would set fires across Isonhound, as Emerald Dragons have the ability to remotely spy on locations (aiding in his hunt for the emerald energies) through any fires that originate from their lair.
He also showed particular interest in the demigod Silent after recognizing the the corruption inside her head matched the corrupted emerald energies he was picking up across the land.
The Hatchery
Smargarg's lair also functioned as a gemstone dragon hatchery. At one point he posessed an Amethyst dragon egg, which was stolen by the pirate Harold and hatched into his own pet.
He was also in posession of an Emerald Egg himself that he hoped to hatch in the region.
Was allies with Emerald dragonborn Durian, who would later become the successor to Feredemius.
