Personality[edit | edit source]

Lysvan is fiercely independent and values her freedom above all else. She has a deep love and respect for nature, and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect it. She is passionate and impulsive, and is quick to act when she sees an injustice being done to the natural world. At the same time, Lysvan is deeply conflicted about her identity as a Fire Genasi. She is aware of the destructive potential of her fiery powers, and she struggles to control her emotions when she is using them. Despite her fears, she is determined to use her powers for good. She sees herself as a protector of the natural world, and will stop at nothing to defend it. She has a strong sense of justice and is not afraid to stand up to those who would exploit the natural world for their own gain. In social situations, Lysvan can come across as aloof and reserved. She prefers to keep to herself and avoid small talk, preferring to spend her time in quiet contemplation or communing with nature. However, she is fiercely loyal to her friends and allies, and will go to great lengths to protect those she cares about. Overall, Lysvan is a complex individual with a strong sense of purpose and a deep connection to the natural world. She is driven by her passion for protecting the environment and using her powers to make a positive difference in the world.

History[edit | edit source]

Lysvan was born with a natural affinity for fire and heat. From a young age, she was fascinated by flames and spent hours watching them dance and flicker. As she grew older, she began to explore their powers and learned to control and manipulate flames with ease. Despite her fascination with fire, she felt a deep connection to the natural world and felt a strong desire to protect it. She became a druid, dedicating herself to the study and protection of the natural world. As she studied, she discovered the power of wildfire, and how it could be used to both destroy and rejuvenate ecosystems. Lysvan saw the beauty in the chaos of wildfire and learned to harness its power to protect the natural world. She became a wildfire druid, specializing in the control and manipulation of wildfire. She learned to channel her inner fire into powerful spells that could burn her enemies or heal her allies. As she traveled the world, she encountered many challenges, including those who sought to exploit the natural world for their own gain. Lysvan became a fierce protector of the natural world, using her powers to stop those who threatened it. As Lysvan continued her journey as a wildfire druid, she encountered many challenges and obstacles along the way. She faced off against people that sought to exploit the natural world, including corrupt politicians, industrialists, and even other druids who had lost their way. One of her most challenging battles came when she encountered a dark mage, Malakar the Maleficent. He was a sorcerer who had delved too deeply into dark magic and had become corrupted by its power. He saw the natural world as something to be conquered and destroyed, and he believed that unleashing a massive wildfire would bring about the end of the world and allow him to rebuild it in his own image. He was determined to bring about the end of the world by unleashing a massive wildfire that would consume everything in its path. Lysvan knew that she had to stop the mage at all costs, and gathered a team of allies to help defeat the mage. Together, her and her team traveled deep into the heart of a dense forest, where the mage had set up his base of operations. They fought through the mage's minions and traps, finally reaching the mage's sanctum. In a climactic battle, Lysvan and her allies faced off against the dark mage, who unleashed a massive inferno that threatened to consume them all. But Lysvan channeled all of her druidic powers, tapping into the primal energy of nature itself to control the flames. With a mighty roar, she unleashed a massive burst of energy that destroyed the mage and saved the world from destruction. Though they were weary and battered from the battle, they knew that their work was not done. In the aftermath of the battle, Lysvan and her allies began to work with local communities to help restore the natural world that had been damaged by the wildfire. They used their powers to heal the land and help it recover from the devastation. Lysvan continues to travel the world, protecting nature and fighting against those who would exploit it, seeking out new challenges and fighting against those who threatened the natural balance. One of her future goals is to establish a network of like-minded druids and other nature protectors, working together to protect the natural world and promote sustainable practices. She believes that by working together, they could accomplish more than they could on their own. Another goal of Lysvan is to explore the deep, uncharted wildernesses of the world. She were fascinated by the hidden ecosystems that lay beyond the reach of human civilization, and she believes that there are untold secrets and wonders waiting to be discovered. In addition, she wantes to continue to develop her druidic powers, learning new spells and techniques that would allow her to better protect the natural world. She continues to search out powerful mentors and ancient texts, eager to learn all she could about the power of wildfire and the secrets of the natural world. Finally, Lysvan hopes to inspire a new generation of nature protectors, passing on her knowledge and skills to those who would come after them. She believes that by instilling a love and respect for the natural world in others, she could ensure that the world would continue to thrive for generations to come.

Powers and Abilities[edit | edit source]

Spells, Wildshape and Summon wildfire spirit *Spark*

Attacks and Weapons[edit | edit source]

Fire and more fire (How Spark came to be) The first time Lysvan summoned the Wildfire Spirit, now known as Spark, she were exploring a dense forest that had been threatened by a group of reckless loggers. The loggers had been clearcutting large parts of the forest, destroying entire ecosystems and endangering countless plant and animal species. She made her way through the ravaged forest and could feel the anger and pain of the natural world around them. She knew that something had to be done to stop the loggers and protect the forest. Fueled by her love for the natural world, she began to chant an ancient incantation. As she chanted, a swirling vortex of flames appeared before her, and the Wildfire Spirit emerged from the flames. The spirit recognized Lysvan as a druid and ally of the natural world, and it agreed to help her in her fight against the loggers. Together, Lysvan and the Wildfire Spirit unleashed a devastating attack on the loggers, using both of their fiery powers to burn the loggers equipment and force them to retreat. From that day on, Lysvan knew that she could summon Spark whenever she needed it, to protect the natural world and fight against those who threatened it. She also knew that they both must use their powers with caution and responsibility, to avoid unleashing the Wildfire Spirit's power in a destructive and uncontrollable way. -Her current future goals that she hopes to accomplish: (Subject to change depending on what experiences she encounters).- Lysvan's primary goal is to protect the natural world from those who would harm it. She is aware of the destructive potential of her powers and is determined to control those powers to the best of her ability. Lysvan would like to seek out other powerful druids or fire mages to learn from, and also may embark on a personal journey of self-discovery to unlock the full potential of her abilities. As a Fire Genasi, she has always felt like an outsider. She may want to find a community of others like herself or she may seek out a group of druids or nature enthusiasts who share their passion for protecting the environment. She has the passion and determination make herself a natural leader. One day in the future, she may want to take on a leadership role within a druidic circle or environmental organization, or she may seek out opportunities to influence policy and make a difference on a larger scale. (New Adventures await) Recieving a letter from the Tempest Brotherhood, she opens it and reads the following; 'Welcome to the Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company. Thank you for signing on with us and working with us in this venture. We're still making the final preparations before we sail off for the first Expedition. Trouble is, we lost headcount along the way with all the recruting we did. If you could be obliged to send a return letter confirming your interest in the company, we can get everything squared away to go. Thanks again for your cooperation, and welcome to the company, -Darian & Adrian Tempest' Lysvan thinks that this is an opportunity that she has been looking for, to be able to go out and help others and show people that her kind are not to feared but to learn to protect nature and to live in harmony with nature, if possible. Packing her things, she heads to the capital in search of the Tempest Brotherhood. As Lysvan travels to the capital city, she feels a mixture of excitement and a dreaded feeling of being very nervious. She has never been to such a large city before and are unsure of what to expect. As she makes her way through the bustling streets, she is struck by the contrast between the city and the natural world she is used to. The sounds of the hustle and bustle of the city drown out the sounds of birds and animals. Despite the overwhelming new sounds, Lysvan is determined to make the most of her time in the city. She decides to visit the local libraries and seek out other druids, if there are any in such a city, to see if there's more information on the Tempest Brotherhood. She slowly makes her way to the meeting place to advise the people in question that she is eager to sign up and see what she can offer. Hopefully she can build new alliances, as she knows that that she cannot protect the environment alone. She also would love to explore new areas and learn more about the world and the surroundings that she was afraid to travel alone to. Walking up to the meeting place, she stops, takes a deep breath and slowly enters the building. (The tales of Adventure that leads to wonder) Adventure to the Base Camp: Lysvan was introduced to the group that she would be traveling with on her first mission into the wild. Below is her thoughts so far about the group she was assigned to and the happenings that she encountered with her new found group. First: An interesting Earth Genasi named Obsidian, a Hexblade Warlock. Very good at what he does and likes to get up close and personal in battle. Second: An Aasimar, named Chrysaor, heard of them but never encountered one until now. A combination of some kind of Sorcerer and Fighter type. Very interesting, shows some promise in the magic arts. Third: A VERY VERY interesting Dwarf named Deralickt Dadwarf. Claims to be an archaeologist, but keep calling for a deity to help him, so she is guessing that with some of the abilities he possesses and uses, he is a cleric that he also claims to be. Fourth: Amaris, a very tall Satyr that is also a cleric. A very nice an kind fey that seems to put others first in certain situations, which is good and nice, but can lead to some complications at some point. As for the first expedition from the city, we was told that there were certain camps that we needed to check up on as communication with them have ceased. We were placed aboard a skiff and taken to the area that we were supposed to investigate and collect as much information about the area. We were told about the camps that they have lost contact with and headed out to find out what have become of those camps. On the way toward the first area, Lysvan cast Animal Friendship on a close by monkey; she named "Chimp", and then communicated with it asking it about the area and what lay ahead. Chimp advised her that there was quite a few heads, on poles, in the camp ahead. Hearing this she told it to head to the trees and the group slowly entered the camp. They split up with Deralickt Dadwarf and Chrysaor heading to the basement of the main building and Obsidian and Amaris heading up the tower, looking for notes and any information they could find. In the basement, someone had been locked inside. By the looks of the body they had been there for a while, possible to be a couple weeks. It looked like the person was locked in the basement prior to the attack on the tower and the camp. The person had its mouth, nose, and ears crammed full of black feathers. It was then realized that the feathers were coming from inside the body, like something was growing out from the inside. The body then burst into flames and crumbled into dust and ash. Lysvan took a sample of the ashes to study, due to fire being the main source as she could see and was very interested on what/who could do this. On the wall was written the following statement: I am the flames that scorch the garden of rot I am the wave that erodes the mountain of skulls I am the quake that will shatters the labyrinth of lies I am the storm that rends the palace of perfection I am Malice Lysvan copied down the writing and put it in her pocket, she also noticed that others also made a copy of the writing. That night after making camp, Lysvan told Chimp to go to the trees and help keep watch and to stay back some so it wouldn't be in danger if something came. The people taking watch, Amaris and Chrysaor, both thought they saw seomthing wierd. Amaris claimed that he saw the trees move closer and closer then all of a sudden, they were in their normal spots. Chrysaor claimed that he looked up at the sky by where the trees were and it gave him a form of vertigo. When Lysvan woke up in the morning she couldn't find Chimp. She called for him and looked for him, finally finding the poor little monkey skewered on a tree well above us where he had been sent to help watch for us through the night. Lysvan decided to let him up there as the cycle of life/death must continue. Feeling a little sad for the creature, she turned and walked away toward the next base camp on the list to investigate. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Adventure to the Base Camp: Lysvan was introduced to the group that she would be traveling with on her first mission into the wild. Lysvan decided to let him up there as the cycle of life/death must continue. Feeling a little sad for the creature, she turned and walked away toward the next base camp on the list to investigate. They continued toward to the main camp the next morning. As they approached they could see that the scene there was even worse. No survivors could be seen, everyone that Lysvan and her group saw was dead, There were many inside a large tent that looked like it housed the injured and dying. There was a body which was covered in maggots and looked almost like the previous body in the previous base camp, in the same way as the previously discovered body with the feathers. As they searched the tent, they uncovered a survivor hiding under a old tarp. At first Lysvan was very suspicious of how this one person survived while the others were slaughtered. As the group questioned him, they found out that his name was Dulio, a trader, he also had a small drake/mount with him. How he survived, they didn't know, bt at least there was one that could let the people back at the main camp what happened with a good description of the carnage. One of the other buildings seemed to be an office of some type. As the group searched the building, many papers were found. Some were ripped, some burned and many others had missing parts. The group gathered up all that was able to be salvaged and put them in a bag to take back to the main base. There was also a wanted poster that was found and that was also taken for the people at base camp. Needless to say, many copies were made before the group decided to hand them over for inspection. The group entered the entrance to a old temple looking building. As they entered and went deeper into it, they heard many voices and other sounds that couldn't be discerned at first. As the group entered a large square room, somewhat on an upper leverl, they saw a person dressed in green plate armor kill Captain Olstein. There were still three prisoners' still alive, but they were surrounded by gnolls, a huge giant hyena, and what looked like something called a deathpledge. The walls were covered in eyes, and told the gnolls to kill everyone. After a long battle, the group killed all the gnolls and hyena. The person in the green armor was more interested in leaving than fighting it seemed after the group hurt him very badly. At the time that he left, there were only two or three of the party still up and they were hurt pretty bad. When the group left witht he three living survivors they witnessed a flood of gnolls and charging the base camp. Lucinda just got everyone out on time on the skiff and the group managed to get what information they collected back to the main base without any of the group members being killed. It was a very scary experience for Lysvan as the person that she killed many years ago, Malakar the Maleficent, seemed to have his name on a visitors list that was found with the paperwork. Upon returning to the main base camp, Lysvan retired to her tent and began to replay the time that she knew the group she was with at that time, did actually kill Malaker. "How, but how could of he survived?", walking back and forth she yelled "There is no way he could of, this has to be some kind of sick trick." Slowly she sits back down and calms down and mumbles "Yes, a sick trick." _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ River Me Timbers Adventure Notes: Billiam contacted the upcoming party as we was brought together to investigate the main river just north of the base camp that has been used for resources. Something has been acting weird in the water as the fishing has diminished and the water has been noticed to see small bit of eaten flesh and some dead creatures floating in the water. It's been hard to find clean water and resources due to the river getting polluted with dead and half eaten things with floating meat and bone. Go up stream to see what has been causing the pollution. We were task to try to find the cause of the pollution/dead things and take care of it or report what is causing it so the appropriate actions can be implemented. The group going out on the mission is as follows: Lysvan of course, A Fire Genasi Wildfire Druid Lt. Ratchet - Combat Engineer, copper dragonborn Sir Yewvane Eedryll - Eladrin Paladin bard Researcher Alcast Millar - Wizard Human Bladesinger Twilsby Pendergras - Human Wizard Finnegan Warbles - Arracokra (Puffin) Warlock. Dickveedus - Half Orc Barbarian While rowing, more bones and dead fish started appearing more and more frequent than previously. Less live water creatures were being seen and more dead creatures are being noticed. The group went on a higher alert than normal due to more frequent bodies and less living creatures. While going up stream a little more, it was noticed that red mushrooms were growing up from the bank. When touched, they caused heat damage to who ever touched them. It was very unusual to see such mushrooms growing above ground Lysvan thought. As she examined them she realized that the mushrooms were caused by an extreme heat source, possibilly hellfire or something very simular and also determined that they were not anything fey related. There was a very dull sense of fiendish aura in the area and it resonated all over the area. As the group was going down the river, the group noticed two shadows in the water in front of them about 50ish feet. Lysvan cast summon beast to get a flyer to scout out the shadows. The shadows turned out to be two sea snakes that was heading toward them. Lysvan has her flyer to move away from the group and slap the water to try to draw the snakes away from the goup so we could slip past them. The idea did not work as they moved toward the group. The group decided to pull the boat off to the side and get on land for better advantage against the snakes and not fight them in the water. While the combat was going on, the two snakes were joined by two crocodiles, making it a little more stressful and deadly. Lysvan had her flying beast to do flybys and dive bomb the snakes and crocodiles. All of a sudden a giant croc appeared with hands and arms for feet, it was something that was not normal but looked somewhat mutated or breed by some evil, sinister force. The fight was not going good the the party as the giant crocodile tried to grab members and drag them into the water and carry them off. It finally grabbed Lt. Ratchet and started dragging him into the water after knocking him out. Lysvan then used her summon wildfire spirit "spark" above the large crocodile and then fiery teleport to bring Lt. Ratchet back to the boat, out of the crocs mouth, saving him from drowning. The mutant crocodile attacked Lysvan and missed due to silvery barbs that was cast by Finnegan Warbles; however the crocodile decided to hit Lt. Ratchet with its tail, killing him. While this was going on, the rest of the party was hurting very bad with Researcher Alcast Millar and Twilsby Pendergras being knocked unconscious for a round or two. They were both revived and helped finish off the two smaller crocodiles and one of the snakes. One snake fled the battle, wounded badly, and the large mutant crocodile was going to attack Lysvan again. Lysvan hit the crocodile with 2 of 3 searing bolts, burning it even more. She then had "Spark" use its fiery teleport, moving her out of the reach and moved back into the range to help block the crocodile from chasing her. Lysvan also had the summoned flyer move in front of the mutant crocodile to help block it. Researcher Alcast Millar moved onto the boat and attacked the mutant crocodile and got struck hard in return, almost knocking him out of the fight. After Lysvan attacked the mutant at range, she had "Spark" fiery teleport Researcher Alcast Millar out of harms way, 15 feet behind the boat. Out of nowhere, Dickveedus jumped onto the boat, raging and bloody, he swung his weapon and hit the mutant hard and deep, almost killing it. He then swung again in his fury, burring his weapon into the mutant, killing it. The group then assembled together to check on the wounded and and to see if there was anything they could do for poor Lt. Ratchet. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done. The group searched around the area and found a few bodies of missing member of the Tempest Brotherhood and a few magic items. The group took some of the mushrooms and tied the giant mutant crocodile to the boat and took it back to the base camp to give to the brotherhood for them to study. Lysvan felt very bad for not being able to save Lt. Ratchet, she also felt very angry that something would defile nature and use it to make mutants to control and kill others. Most of all, the mushrooms were all over the place, which means that whoever or whatever the case was spreading and needed to be stopped. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Under Dark Strike Back Notes: The group was formed by Paul Fletcher, who was tasked by the brotherhood to bring the following adventurers together: Lysvan of course, A Fire Genasi Wildfire Druid Paris Hilton - Human Ranger Dochas - Human Devine Soul Sorcerer Thordon Akieye - Mountain Dwarf Barbarian Therrin Flare - Aasimar Celestial Warlock Nix - Armorer Artificer Reedy - Tiefling Ranger When Lysvan woke up in the morning, she was informed, along with the group members listed above, that the camp had a visitor earlier that evening. It turned out that the visitor was someone/something that she never expected to see. The group found out from Vixyra that the visitor was in fact a drow ambassador. It seemed that the drow ambassador and its party were actually not evil. Now Lysvan was really confused as all she has heard in her life and from others that almost every drow was evil incarnate, except for a few rare few, especially the females of the race. As the group was informed about what was to come and the mission, she found out that a door to the under dark was opened. It was opened with a gem being placed into the hand of a statue of Lloth, Queen of spiders and main god of the Drow. Needless to say, Lysvan was a little nervous about going due to the rumors of what layed below in the darkness of the Underdark. Some of the creatures that she has heard of are listed below: Of course Drow, also known as dark elves, the drow are a malevolent and cunning race that excels in subterfuge, magic, and combat. They are skilled archers and wielders of powerful magic and poisons used to make their target sleep. Mind Flayers, these tentacled creatures are one of the Underdark's most feared creatures. They are telepathic and psionic, and they use their powers to enslave and devour other creatures. Cloakers, these creatures love to ambush as they use their bodies to blend in with the darkness. They are fast and agile, and their bite can paralyze their victims and smother them. Ropers, they are ambush hunters, taking the appearance of a stalagmite while waiting for their prey to get close then attacking. Using tentacles to grab their victims and pull them into their jagged mouth. The only good thing about them is that they are very slow and can be outran if you can avoid the tentacles. Mushroom men/creatures are also found in the Underdark. They are about four to sex feet in height and are usually passive unless attacked. They have the ability to spit out spores that can blind/poison/or slow their target. When they kill their target they then try to use the body to make more compost and other mushroom beings, from what she saw. One race that she also heard of are the Duergar. Duergar are gray dwarves known for their cruelty, resilience, and proficiency with magic and craftsmanship. They are often slavers and trade at times with the Drow for supplies and other items that they cannot craft. Not to be trusted as they deal with Drow. The group walked north to the temple, as they made their way north, they noticed trampled parts of the forest due to a large creature passing through. As they approached the temple, the group was advised to to damage anthing inside due to it may below to someone/something else. Until we know who/what the temple does and belongs to, we are just to observe and investigate. Paul the Anthropologist of the brotherhood does not want the temple destroyed or damaged and made it very clear of that. When they got to the temple, it was cleaned up some and somewhat restored and cleaned up. Everyone was told that the gem will open doorway if placed into the statue of Lloth's hand. Billiam is Lisvanes assistant, he was advised that he will stay in the temple to make sure the gem isn't removed while the group are making their way into the tunnel. Closing the door to the under dark is out of the question atm. The brotherhood does not know if the doorway is being used by another race/group is using the temple. Paul placed gem into the hand of Lloth and Ni's pet *bolt* was turned invisible by Dochas and went about 20 feet ahead of the group. Once the door was opened, it was very clear that something/someone and other under dark creature's know now that we have opened the door and were traversing the stairs down into the darkness. As the group was going down the steps into the under dark all that Lysvan could think of was cave spiders, lots of spiders, domain of Lloth, de-vowers and druagar and other things that reside down there, waiting for fresh victims to be killed, eaten or enslaved. There was a Bio-Luminestic purple pink glowing source at the bottom of the stairs. The light turned out to be glowing mushrooms at the bottom of the stairs. Looking at them with some interest, Lysvan reached down, grabbing a sample, not physically touching it, using the bag as a barrier, and put one in a bag she was carrying. Thordon walked over to a stalactite and saw a glowing gem type thing, intrigued, he and went to get it and was attacked by the stalactite, it was a Roper. Lysvan summoned *Spark* and backed up and had the spirit fly over above the dwarf for support if needed and to help move him back if it gor to much out of hand, which of course, it did very quirky. Parris shot at a Roper and missed, hitting a mushroom, that stood up and started to attack the Thordon and Nix, moving faster than the slow Roper. One thing that the group found out very fast was that the mushroom person have a radius of spore attack that does damage if you're within ten feet of them. Lysvan made sure that *Spark* stayed about fifteen feet above them to stay out of the damage radius, also giving it enough movement to duck in and firy teleport back out to move group members back and to safety if needed, which it was needed many times in the encounter. During the battle, three unexpected cloakers dropped from the ceiling, one by *Spark* and one by the damaged rooper, next to Nix and Thordon. Lysvan cast flaming sphere on the Roper, mushroom person and the cloaker. While controlling the flaming sphere, she kept backing up some in order to stay out of reach of the creatures, especially the Roper as it had a ranged tenticle attack that the group found out about by surprise. The battle looked grim at times as party members fell, only to be brought up by those who haven't when possible. Lysvan was using *Spark's* firy teleport ability, teleporting party members out of harms way when possible. Just as it seemed that everything was working out, a huge surprise appeared an Illithind (mindflayer), Dochas, the Human Devine Soul Sorcerer, had moved up to engage the last Mushroom person when the mindflayer appeared. She tried casting at it, with little effect. As she tried running away, the Illithid hit her with a mental attack, knocking her unconscious. When this happened, the mushroom person, moved up and started to beat on her and slowly cover her, turning her slowly into compost as her body slowly dissolved into dirt. The Illithid moved closer to the group, and did another mental attack, knocking Paris Hilton the Human Ranger, Thordon Akieye the Mountain Dwarf Barbarian and Reedy the Tiefling Ranger unconscious. This also hurt the Roper and one of the cloakers that was close to Lysvan and Therrin. Lysvan used *Sparks* firey teleport to move the unconscious team mates away from the Illithid, closer to the steps. Nix ran up the stairs and started to set charges on the steps to demolish the entrance as to keep the mindflayer from escaping. Paul the Anthropologist, who was keeping guard up top, ran down and used a healing potion on Reedy and also help get Paris back up. Lysvan, dismissed the current *Spark* and summoned another one, right in be middle of the mindflayer and the last mushroom person, blasting them both with molten fire. She then used *Sparks* ability to to move Nix to the stairs and placed it in between the mindlfayer and the party. As they all got to the top of the stairs, the mindflayer came to the bottom of the stairs. Therrin Flare the Aasimar Celestial Warlock used their eldritch blast to finally kill the mindflayer, smashing a blast through its head, grey matter flying all over the place. As the party healed up who ever they could, Lysvan went down the stairs and collected some of the mindflayers brain and put it in her pocket. The group decided to removed the gem, closing the dorrway and to take the body of the mindflayer back to camp for them to study. When the party got back to the camp, Lsyvan walked up to Vixyra, and dropped the Illithid body as his feet and looked very frustrated and said, "Maybe you can get your new allies to help you with this and find out what or why this abomination was there and how to combat them more effectively as we lost another member." She then turned to talk away as Vixyra handed her some gold. She took the gold and went straight to her tent, securing the flap so she could study what she found in peace. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
