Tiamat is one of the (if not THE) oldest and most powerful primordial force in Quelmar, having been rumored to have existed even before the Gods in various Creation Stories.

Tiamat has been a god, an archdevil, a vestige, and many other things over histories both written and unwritten, but she is mostly known for her reign over Dragons, which are said to exist in her image the way that dwarves exist in Moradin's, or elves exist in Corellon's.

History

The Era of Dragons (the BR era)

The Destructive Time (or Bekilip Rekisix in the original Draconic), was the name given to Quelmar's first historical era, during which Tiamat's evil chromatic dragons plagued the land ever since their first appearance in 207 BR, when they originally escaped Kiston. (In contrast, the good-aligned dragons created by Bahamut had lived in Quelmar long before humans arrived to begin recording history in 0 BR.) The devastation culminated in the Holy War, beginning in 912 BR, during which other Quelmar deities confronted Tiamat, and the people of the realm took up arms against the dragons.

Tiamat's eventual banishment in 995 BR would usher in Quelmar's prosperous PR era (the Pleasant Time, or Petranasul Rekisix), giving the world an eight-century respite before the War of Many Names that would result from Tiamat and the dragons becoming free once again.

The Tyranny of Dragons (790-795 PR)

With the resurrection process well underway, Tiamat began to test her ability to summon aspects once again. The Cult of the Dragon took to Dolmvay in Osugbo in an attempted siege of the city. The fear struck in the citizens of this massive city would hopefully mark Tiamat's return to the realm. It was during the Siege of Dolmvay that Tiamat encountered Darastrix, a black shadow dragon who was still alive in the realm. Tiamat seduced Darastrix and had him seek out the Draconic Redeemers and the Keepers of the Teeth, two dragonborn factions in Pteris that had always believed Tiamat would return one day.

Though Tiamat was struck down by the combined forces of Kragnux and Vecna, the siege proved that she was regaining enough power to return to the realm. Tiamat would later test her aspect summoning abilities by raging similar attacks on Xender City in Amusa, as well as small hamlets in Pteris such as Cultivar. In each successive attack, she appeared more capable and stronger, as her followers were gaining hope and convincing more to join their cause with each appearance.

Tiamat would finally emerge in full form in 793 PR, where her first priority was killing the Kiston Guardians and releasing the rest of the dragons back into the world.

The Court of Scales (834 PR)

In 834 PR, Tiamat manifested her avatar in the Feywild and attacked the forests of the Wildwood in order for her servants to gain a foothold within the plain. After the local Fey Court, the Court of Branches, was destroyed, Tiamat placed the Ancient Green Dragon Veylthar the Verdant Fang in charge of the newly created Court of Scales.

Second Razing of Isonhound (899 PR)

After the Wold Order uses the Greenfire Bomb in Osugbo, Tiamat was enraged at the creation of such a weapon and manifested her avatar in the Wold Order city of Synàra, destroying most of the city and kicking of the Second Razing of Isonhound.
